Re: Dishonored - New IP

The fact that the weeks and days leading up to the release were accompanied by a deafening silence from the publisher and developers, complete with a total lack of technical details, screenshots, or...

Re: Dishonored - New IP

Things are bad. Do you think the city could get any worse?

Re: Dishonored - New IP

100% stealth is not impossible at all, but it is a challenge. I did a 100% stealth and zero kills playthrough. It forces you to get creative and use powers you wouldn't otherwise have tried out.

Re: Dishonored - New IP

Thanks for your input. The game is fantastic and I've been recommending it whenever possible.

Re: Dishonored - New IP

The game isn't really designed for direct hand-to-hand combat, especially with more than one enemy at a time. Combat controls are more defensive than anything. Even on a "kill everything"...

Re: Dishonored - New IP

Finished my second playthrough, zero kills and zero detections. This took quite a bit of saving and reloading. But it was significantly faster the second go around. I'm glad that I did the more...

Re: Dishonored - New IP

There's conflicting information out there, but to me it seems that as long as you didn't do anything to directly or indirectly cause the deaths, it shouldn't count against you. That doesn't mean it...

Re: Dishonored - New IP

There are a limited number of save slots, though. Not nearly as many as I would've liked, to be honest.

I should also mention that I read every single book, memo, and note I came across, and...

Re: Dishonored - New IP

Just finished it as well, basically killed everything in sight for my first playthrough, but I'll go through again for the 100% stealth/no kills achievements.

I have no idea since there's no...

Re: Dishonored - New IP

Agreed. Almost done with my first playthrough and that would probably be my biggest issue with the game -- the powers just don't seem powerful enough nor do they last long enough, even when fully...

Re: Dishonored - New IP

You don't need to start over. There are plenty of rune stones to be found for upgrades.

Re: Dishonored - New IP

Bethesda did not develop the game. They are only the publishers.

I'm a few hours into the game, and even though I had read all the comparisons to Bioshock in reviews, I'm still shocked at how much...

Re: Dishonored - New IP

Is anyone picking this up on Tuesday? I'm very seriously considering it. It looks great, and I also very much like the idea of supporting a new IP, especially one that isn't taking the easy route by...
