It wouldn't surprise me if Barnes & Noble is one of the casualties of the pandemic.

They've been "on the edge" for years now, and this is something that could finally push them over it. :(

I know the chain is struggling financially, so it isn't surprising if they're doing away with general use coupons.

B&N's CD inventory is shit, so half off of everything isn't as good a deal as it sounds. I haven't seen anything bigger than an eight foot section for a while. They sell mostly vinyl now.

At my B&N, they've pretty much eliminated CDs; they are pretty much relegated to one little corner. Most of the space in the music section is devoted to vinyl.

B&N's DVD and BRs have always been MSRP.

I haven't noticed them charging a premium over MSRP.

I picked up "World of Ice and Fire" hardcover for $17.50. It's a $50 book, it was 50% off for Black Friday, and I took off another 30% with the coupon.

Can the 30% coupon be used in-store on books that are already discounted 20/30% off? (ie, bestsellers and other books with discount stickers)

The instructions on it seem ambiguous in that regard.
