Looks like at this time the offer is restricted to Books, DVDs, Music, Textbooks, and Giftcards. Store categories not eligible are available only at the regular B&N web site. If you try to add an item to your cart not in one of the listed categories from the regular B&N web site it will not allow you to complete check out if you use one of the discount store links listed below. The purchase must be made through the regular B&N web site.

Military.com Bookstore
All customers can use! Use the Military.com bookstore link to save 6% and get free expedited shipping on all orders at Barnes&Noble.com. Thanks to lakeland951 for finding the new link. It appears it is similar to the Visa and Auto Club links but you save an additional 1%. However the 6% discount does not stack with a B&N members discount. Members will get their 10% discount in addition to the free shipping offer.

Visa Offer
Here's the 5% Visa link that also offers free shipping on all orders. The link appears to give free expedited shipping on every order regardless of amount and works with any credit card. However the additional 5% discount does not stack with a B&N members discount. Members will get their 10% discount in addition to the free shipping offer.

AAA Members
AAA members now receive an extra 10% on all orders* -- discounts are automatically applied when you check out. Expires ? The 10% discount appears to still be active September 1, but the AAASUMMER9 coupon has expired.

At the moment it appears free shipping on all orders has been suspended, and your order must be at $25 before discounts to qualify. It's possible the free shipping offer may return when this promotion ends after August.

The Library Bookstore
Another bookstore to add to your choices to save extra money at Barnes and Noble. It appears at the moment to offer 10% off DVDs, books, and music orders. No free shipping unless your order qualifies under the current free shipping rules offered at B&N.com. All customers can use the link, but the discount does not stack with a B&N membership.

NSCS Bookstore
All customers can use. Here's a new link to the NSCS bookstore that saves 5% off B&N purchases. Thanks to red5bv06 for finding it. Occasionally they offer special promotions for 10% to 15% off purchases. However I noticed you do not qualify for free shipping on all orders like the other discount links mentioned. To qualify for free shipping you need to add $25 or more of eligible items to your cart. Like the other offers the discount does not stack with a B&N members discount. This link is not useful to B&N members on most occasions since your member's discount exceeds this offer.

Thanks, Laser. I think that makes sense. When you update the coupons, maybe post a new message saying the coupons have been updated so we know to look. But that would make it a LOT easier to find the coupons when we need them...

What did you try to use it on? That may or may not help, but it's a start. The code should still work for a few more days. Since I already redeemed the coupon I cannot verify if it is still active. One suggestion is try adding a different item to your cart as a test to see if the coupon will work with it. If not was there a message giving a reason why the coupon was rejected on the web site? If you can't get it to work the new 20% coupon code X4H8W9U appears as if it was activated a few days early. I tested it on a DVD and it seemed to work fine. But obviously it would be nice to use the other coupon before it expires.

1 was an old release: Escape from NY, 1 new: High Noon. the message just said i wasn't eligible.

Was your membership number entered in and correct during checkout? That could keep the coupon from working since it is a members coupon.

If neither is working I wouldn't think there is necessarily a problem with the first coupon. Have you tried the 2 current 15% codes to see if any of them work? I would assume at least the non member coupon would work. Also were you at least seeing a members discount during checkout? One other thing were you going directly to BN.com, or going through one of discount links like the AAA? If you can't get the codes to work you may need contact someone at BN.com to see if there is a problem with your account.

As a last resort you could trying clearing your cache and cookies to see if that has any effect.

Maybe people should post any relatively good discounts they find, to use with coupons, such as 40% off titles. You can get the whole Sex and the City CE for around 130 bucks, for example.

Ordered CYE: Season #6, Before the Rain, Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters for $63.25 with A8P8N9P. I also used the Visa link but it only seems to have deducted 5% and not the additional 5% for checking out with my VISA card.

Only thing I saw that had a higher than 10% off was Lost: Season #3 at 40%. Like the above poster noted, if anyone else finds anything please post it .
