It does seem weird that they keep mentioning Ron. It's not as if the mentions drive the story or explain any plot points/holes ... They are just random name drops.

The poker game was awesome ... It's nice (not really) to see this show following expected tropes. Introduce a baby and your main characters lose most of their appeal -- the ancillary characters...

Yeah, but some episodes just play better than others and seem longer. I think they feel shorter when they jam in multiple unrelated story lines.

Cheryl's response to "But why would you do this?!" was awesome. Really, the new/old office stuff was the best part of a rather flat start. Very glad to have Archer back though!
