I've been out of town and just now had a chance to watch this week's episode ... holy shitsnacks!
How did they get away with airing this?! It was fantastic!
Although, I was hoping Archer would bag the queen. An audible erection is deserving of that.

Have you been watching FX lately? They air almost anything in their shows these days. They will almost certainly be the first basic cable channel that ends up airing frontal nudity.

I'm a guy who watches a lot of shows 'in the background'.
This is a show where the audio assaults the senses. The dialogue is aggressive. The pacing is rushed and never lets up.
It's the only show that I can think of, where listening is almost intolerable after a few episodes.

Interesting ... Mr. Slater's (just Slater) shirt is an actual business ...

Troy, you are correct. This Is NOT a show you can watch "in the background" (at least the first time around). The pacing, the obscure references, the non-sequiturs ... It is a veritable assault on your ears and your brain. I find the best episodes take me more than 30 minutes to watch because I keep rewinding bits.

No. There are only a few shows I sit down to watch right now (Archer, Walking Dead, and I'm on the fence with Agents of SHIELD as it is improving). Too bad they moved The League to FXX ... I can only imagine where they would go. Perhaps we would finally get that Jenny/Sofia scene we've been wanting!

Yet another downturn with this episode. Just when we were picking up steam again.
Best part was the discussion about MASH. Yes, I remember SpearChucker ...

I dunno, I laughed several times. I just wish they would have added the erection sound when Lana dropped the robe. For either the Welsh agent or the giant in the closet with Archer. Or both.

It was hard to top the previous episode with Katya, and I really didn't expect them to. This and the season premiere were the weakest two for me. Can't believe there are only two episodes left.

I thought this episode was fine. Even a weak episode of Archer is still hilarious.

I liked the stuff with Ray's surgery better then the Archer/Lana stuff. I assume Ray got one of Conway's hands?

I was just getting ready to post something similar. Here is the reddit thread of those guys going down the rabbit hole of all these easter eggs. The archer team has put some serious time into creating all this.

For some reason that female doctor's line delivery got me every time, thought she was hilarious. As was Archer jumping up and down thinking he would float in a submarine.

I'm hoping they use the unaired parts of Archer's fantasy from the first episode of Archer Vice. Could see them going in an A-Team type direction.
They're only contracted for one more season. Will be interesting to see if it gets renewed past season 7.

I imagine Archer remains on the air after next season. Networks are loathe to give up on successful animation programs since the actors don't age on screen and everything except the voice talent is easily replaceable.

That ending with how the submarine unshrunk was exactly as I was expecting. My favorite bits of this 2-part season finale was Krieger and his seriously outdated medical training (phrenology as well as bile and the 4 humors), and Malory's terrible babysitting skills. It also made me want to rewatch Fantastic Voyage again and even Innerspace too.
After this break with the CIA, I certainty hope next season isn't a continuation of Archer Vice - that idea was played out before Season 5 even ended.

George Coe, the voice of Woodhouse passed away. FX did a little tribute to Woodhouse -
