I hit 3 stores yesterday and used the 25% coupon 5 times, with 5 different clerks, to buy 5 books that I wanted. They had some strange inventorying at times, where 1 location had 7 copies of a book...

When I went Friday then the cashier was trying to sell me on getting $100, $150, or more in gc's, so that he could give me 2,3, or more of the $10 gc's too ("free money" he called it).

I've been waiting for a book that was released today, so went to the store, but no luck on the BF coupon. The cashier called for the manager to do an override, but she politely nixed that. Ah well.

All of the B&N mp sellers that I've seen sell items that B&N doesn't, for higher than msrp. I guess the article is generalizing based on other listings?

On Sunday I used the 20% off 1 item online (which worked) but they authorized me twice for the same purchase, which I didn't know, so when I attempted a 2nd online purchase from them it was declined....
