Olivia Cook or Jane Levy are my pics from this list, though Bella Thorne's inclusion makes me think it was leaked by Bella Thorne's agent.

Jane Levy NEEDS a breakout role. She's always been this close to being a huge star.

No big news:
Joss Whedon Will Start Work on Batgirl Next Year

If that's the case, could make a mid or late 2019 date.
Joss Whedon Will Start Work on Batgirl Next Year
DC chief Geoff Johns has been busy promoting both the DC Universe and the DCEU at San Diego Comic-Con this week, and in a recent interview with IGN Live, he said that Whedon will begin working on the Batgirl movie in 2018.
If that's the case, could make a mid or late 2019 date.

Joss Whedon Exits 'Batgirl' Movie (Exclusive)
Joss Whedon is saying goodbye to DC Entertainment heroine Batgirl.
Whedon, the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer among other pop culture touchstones, is exiting the Warner Bros. feature project, which he was writing and was slated to direct.
"Batgirl is such an exciting project, and Warners/DC such collaborative and supportive partners, that it took me months to realize I really didn't have a story," Whedon told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement. Referring to DC president Geoff Johns and Warner Bros. Picture Group president Toby Emmerich, Whedon added, "I'm grateful to Geoff and Toby and everyone who was so welcoming when I arrived, and so understanding when I…uh, is there a sexier word for 'failed?'"
Whedon came on to Batgirl almost a year ago, in March 2017, with the hopes of bringing to the big screen a companion to the female empowerment icon Wonder Woman, with this one tied to the most popular character in comics, Batman. Batgirl is Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Gotham City police commissioner James Gordon.
But sources say that Whedon, after a year of trying, could not crack the code of what a Batgirl movie should be. Wonder Woman, meanwhile, became a cultural phenomenon as well as one of the biggest hits and most acclaimed movies of 2017.
Industry sources add that even as Whedon faced story issues, in today's cultural entertainment environment, a male filmmaker may have faced greater public scrutiny if he were to have tackled a movie with such feminist importance such as Batgirl or Wonder Woman, much like a white filmmaker would have seen backlash taking on the Black Panther movie.
Whedon has been credited as a pioneering voice for female-focused genre fare, having created the hit TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer two decades ago.
He does have a strong relationship with Warners, who brought him into the company's DC fold to take over last year's Justice League when director Zack Snyder was sidelined due to a family tragedy.
Whedon will face no shortage of suitors, as Netflix, Apple and others will likely vie for the next creation from the writer-director behind cult TV series such as Firefly and Dollhouse.

I would rather he do something original anyways. Plus I don't care about his personal life, he can fuck whoever he wants. Maybe he should run for President.

Probably for the good. If they (Warner) really wants this, better to introduce her in a Batman movie and see how the audience likes her.
Also better to trim down all the "ideas" for these movies and get down to basics (though I still want to see a Deathstroke movie).

So this was Joss Whedon at the Warner Bros. lot the last few months?
So he got paid for nothing then.

He fricking wrote and directed two Avengers movies, which were huge big budget ensemble films and he couldn’t come up with a decent Batgirl origin story movie?
He’s the one who apparently pitched this to WB and he couldn’t write a movie based off his own pitch.

I actually was really looking forward to this film. Seemed like it had a lot of potential and Whedon seemed the right fit for it but of course WB has to play the blame game and punish him for the failure of Justice League when the reality is it’s their own damn fault (I don’t even blame Snyder). These films are shit and they deserve to fail as long as they maintain their current direction. Fuck WB and the DCEU.

Whedon was the only reason I was slightly interested in this. To me the DC movies are crap and I haven't seen the last 15 Marvel films. I am over the super hero thing.

I hardly believe that. He steps in to direct Justice League for Zack Snyder due to Snyder’s personal tragedy (although there are rumors that he was actually fired before all that). The film is supposed to be the biggest thing the DCEU has produced and it underperforms in a huge way. Then he conveniently can’t come up with a story for this film. Right... I think it’s more like saving face and WB telling him to hush hush.

I don’t at all. Plus if I remember correctly right around the time Justice League came out there were rumors of him being dropped from doing this film. Seems like that probably had some validity to it. It’s sort of like Geoff Johns. He technically wasn’t to blame either but his future involvement seems very quiet. It seems to me like WB is cleaning house of anyone they deem associated with failing them as quickly as possible.
There’s this article from November last year denying that he had been dropped. I doubt those rumors just came out of nowhere especially with today’s news.
