re: Reynolds to reprise Deadpool in "X-Men" spin-off?

They managed to capture Deadpool perfectly, but that looked like a video game cut scene. If the entire movie was essentially just mo-cap and CGI I wouldn't be interested.

I think that was only done b/c this was proof of concept to show what they could do. I doubt the entire character would be done like that.

Reynolds would have been great in a Deadpool movie with the right script. The character is a perfect fit for him. Instead he got stuck in a pretty weak Wolverine solo movie.

He was in X-Men Origins: Wolverine as a launching platform for Deadpool. He wasn't in it because they never got it together beforehand.

Agreed. I liked that footage too - he has the perfect attitude for it.

I just rewatched Blade: Trinity and I know I'm the minority but I think he was the best part of that movie. Calling Parker Posey a "thunder****" is outstanding any way you cut it.

Looks more interesting than what the MCU has given us thus far, IMO(Avengers notwithstanding, and GotG pending).

It reminded me of the same scene in Raid 2 except they used real people.

Test Footage is at the link above in High Definition. Also includes some good stills from the footage.

I hope this gets made some day; looks like it would be a ton of fun.

Mix equal parts Hannibal King and Van Wilder and, by George, I think we've got it.

So on Monday a cam recorded version of the test footage leaks, then the actual footage itself leaks. Yeah, this isn't a studio plant or anything.

The link states that this HD version is an official release by Blur Studio, who did the short. So not a leak.

Reminds me of Jim Carrey The Mask.

I'll pass.

People here do realize that was just a test concept to sell the idea of the tone and etc to Fox, no?

As much as I enjoyed that clip, that's all the Deadpool I really need. I like him as a supporting character. Not so much as a leading man.

Deadpool will happen, in "5-6 years." Apparently what has held it up for so long is the determination to figure out if it would be rated R or PG-13.

Re: Reynolds to reprise Deadpool in "X-Men" spin-off?

i'll make this easy. make it R. make the movie for $80 million bucks. if has a good enough trailer that has humor and good action, it'll be a hit.

Jesus, all this wait to even see some test footage and they're still thinking another five to six years before they actually make it? What the hell is the hold up?

Just to add, that 5-6 years quote is from Rob Liefeld tweet. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, just that it is what it is...which is a Rob Liefeld tweet.

I don't think any of his tweets really have a leg to stand on.
