This is my most anticipated film next year. And I'm not even a Deadpool fan.

I know pretty much nothing about Deadpool, but knowing he comes from the X-Men universe and not the MCU makes me extremely excited for it. Plus he just looks badass.

I know nothing about this Negasonic character. Is she an X-Man or a villain? She looks to be wearing a First Class era X-Men uniform in that pic. So is this movie taking place during the 1960s/70s?

Looks more New Mutants than X-Men IMO. Heck they make her look like Rahne.

Looks like she has been both good and bad in the books. Always associated with Emma Frost.

She has pre-cog psychic abilities.

Movie takes place in present day.

No idea who Rahne is, but that's the uniform they wore in the First Class movie.

The costume looks like something from Morrison's run on X-Men.

NTW was a Morrison/Quitely creation, although she was a student and I don't think she ever appeared in one of the uniforms. I don't remember her being much more than a background character. She also appeared in Whedon's run. Sort of. I have no idea what she's done since.

Not exactly... she does look to be wearing a suit inspired by a run or two though.

I'm more interested in the insignia she has on her shoulder.

This is X-Men related, but not Deadpool related, but I didn't want to create a new thread just for this, so I will post it here.

Anyway, do you want a Storm solo movie? Halle Berry says she would do it if the fans speak up and demand it!

If the fans want that the fans need to speak up and I’m sure it would be a possibility. If Fox felt like they could make money off of a Storm movie I’m sure they would do it.

Yeah. Storm is a very niche quality character. She's a great character who has grown so fucking much but not w/ Halle Berry or film.

I think the disastrous Catwoman movie she was in sank any chance we'd get a solo Storm movie.

what if the fans got their collective shit together and petitioned for a standalone Storm movie that specifically did not have Berry in it?

Yeah. They can't write that character for shit now. And Lawrence isn't an actor to communicate well through body language. She can act but she can't do it convey solely by body language. She isn't comfortable in the blue. She does fine out of it though in the X films, weakly as she is written.

It would definitely be the Jennifer Lawrence version if they made that movie today.

Marvel Studios is itching to do a Captain Marvel movie with their new female character. The writing is on the wall.

By writing is on the wall, do you mean the movie they already announced they'll be making?
