I used to be a fan of Tim Burton, now I don't care anymore. What a boring body of work he's had the last decade (save for Big Fish).

I'll admit this trailer looks more promising than anything he's done in ages, but I'm wondering how it'll work as a full-length feature. I'd guess the running time can't be over 80 min.

Just got back from an advanced screening. It was not bad, not great. The animation and the character design was awesome. I'd seen the short film back when I got Nightmare Before Christmas on BD so I was familiar with the basic premise from that.

I actually saw Frankenweenie (the short) again in class. It'd been soooo long. I really like it. It's sooooo fresh and imaginative while also gushing w/ love in the trappings of the genre Burton oozes over. WTF happened to that guy? lol.

I actually enjoyed this more than I thought I would - guess seeing the commercials/trailers ad nauseum got old real fast - anyhoo - the movie is far more twisted and funnier than expected. And the 3D is fantastic much better implemented than 'ParaNorman'

His "Deep Roy plays every Oompa Loompa" idea though has no defense.

I just finished watching the original short film after many many years (even forgot it was live-action), and thought it was great! (Loved that neighbor who was also on BeWitched!)
But now that I saw this trailer for the first time, it's like an insult to the short film! Blah.

This was actually good and it's Burton's best movie in a while. It's light and has fun with older horror movies. It's cute and has charm up the ying yang. Too bad this bombed. Put it on the pile of other good movies that bombed. Like how they expanded on the short, there are tons of similarities but also plenty of stuff to distinguish it as its own thing. Dug the other pets.

I really liked this movie but didn't realize how sad of a story it was going in. Anything involving pets dying gets to me. Even still, it was a lot of fun.

Definitely the most fun I've had watching a Burton film since Big Fish.
Thought the film looked gorgeous!

Saw this today with my son. I liked it a lot more than I was expecting to. It started off a bit slow but had come around nicely by the end.
