You can buy most of those for the same price or even less online. Heroes Season 2 on Blu-ray even is only like $10 new on Amazon, not sure what they're thinking with the $14 price for these new sets.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

I had a $5 off $15 coupon expiring today, so I brought up Longmire S2 & TVD S3 (hopefully I'll actually like these shows whenever I get around to watching the 1st Seasons). Both had $8 tags and seemed to ring up for $8 in the system, but the coupon wouldn't work. Two employees kept mentioning tax, which I really didn't understand as the msrp was $16 (which is more than $15 last I checked). But then one of them added a $1 item and with that I paid $10 plus tax for all three items.

So I'm still unsure as to exactly what happened here??? But maybe the $8 titles ring up for less if/when you buy 2?

^Many (all?) of those $8 TV seasons are 2/$14. The original waterfalls had that printed on the side.

Thanks, that makes sense. I'd never seen many of this group before (with 2 Broke Girls, Closer, Mentalist, etc.) and they weren't anywhere near the waterfalls, but instead at the very front of the store. Luckily it worked out, and thanks again for the explanation.

Somebody near me must read this forum. As of late last week they had gone from 40 or so pieces of Fringe sitting for a month to 2 total.

Fringe was a darn good show which Fox network jerked around with stupid time slots. Longmire is another good show which you mentioned earlier. Dollhouse was another good show which I believe was pulled because it depicted too much of what is secretly going on in the world today by our government and black ops.

I've been seeing a very few new dvd movies creeping into the selection, very random. Everything from Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol to The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (Two-Disc Special Edition) (only 1 copy at the store I went to).

I meant to mention it, but both of those were $5. I haven't really seen many $3 in awhile, come to think of it.

"Chain Reaction" has been on my pending list (pile) for over eight years. One of these days I'll get around to watching it.

They've really gotten out of the classic genre.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

It has been several weeks since I stopped by a Big Lots. Hit the one in Longwood Florida and Sanford Florida recently and spent more than I have in probably the last six months at BL. Bought at Longwood Florida:
$3 DVD Batman Year One
$3 DVD Duck Dodgers Season 1
$5 DVD Challenge of the Superfriends Season 1
$3 DVD Whistleblower/Rachel Weisz
$3 DVD Henry's Crime/Keanu Reeve
$3 DVD Grand Prix/James Garner
$3 DVD Fragments/Kate Beckinsale
$3 DVD 7 Seconds/Wesley Snipes
$3 DVD In The Name Of The King 2/Dolph Lundgren
$5 BLU Miller's Crossing/Gabriel Byrne

Sanford Florida
$3 DVD Marine 3/The Miz
$3 DVD Special ID/Donnie Yen
$3 DVD Swelter/Lennie James
$3 DVD Harry Brown/Michael Caine
$3 DVD The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnasuss/Heath Ledger

Weird thing at Sanford store concerning Swelter. They had the BluRay for $5, DVD for $5 and DVD with slipcase for $3.

I've only seen bits and pieces of it when it aired on tv. Daffy and Marvin are two of my all time favorite cartoon cartoons. None of the current Looney Tunes attempts holds up to the originals in my opinion, but the characters are so endearing I can overlook most of the flaws. I would suggest seeing if you could catch an episode or two off Amazon, but by the time you pay for that you could have purchased the DVD.

It's not as good as the original cartoons (but then what is?) but it's a enjoyable program, especially at that price.

I saw the complete series of 'King of Queens' somewhere in the $20 to $30 dollar range, either in Best Buys or Walmart box stores this week.

I just saw it at Best Buy for $24.99. It's been around this price on Amazon for some time. Worth every penny.

I agree! It's considered a modern day 'Honeymooners' They even had a skit of the 'Honeymooners' in which Carrie played Alice, Doug played Ralph, and Deacon played Norton. I was glad to see Leah Remni lose the fat and return to the babe she always was.
