Seinfeld, Family Guy, Futurama, King of Queens and others $9.99 after MIR at FYE B&M
We just started a new deal on boxsets today as part of a gigantic summer sale at FYE. As you can see from the thread title, this deal does involve mail in rebates so for those people that are sick of dealing with them, I'd advise you to stay away. However, if you don't mind waiting a few months to receive a rebate check, there are some pretty good deals to be had. Here is a complete list of eligible titles thanks to db27:
027616926333 - Steve Mcqueen Giftset $7 rebate 025192829925 - Mummy Collection $8 rebate 043396054202 - The Patriot Pack $13 rebate 025193334329 - Pirates of the Golden... $14 rebate 027616909275 - Robocop Trilogy $11 rebate 043396053526 - Sinbad Collection $7 rebate 043396077683 - Sniper Collection 012569835931 - Superman Returns 2 Disc Lunchbox Edition $26 rebate 085391100164 - Superman Returns 1 Disc Lunchbox Edition $21 rebate 043396060791 - Wolfgang Peterson Collection $13 rebate 024543393627 - Ice Age 2 Lunchbox Edition $21 rebate 794043702020 - TMNT Movie Collection $11 rebate 097361198545 - Extreme Comedy Collection $14 rebate 097360421842 - Too Cool For School Collection $8 rebate 025192954023 - Richard Pryor Collection $14 rebate 025192956720 - Spike Lee Collection $14 rebate 043396049222 - Starter Pack DVD $15 rebate 043396002036 - Three Stooges $13 rebate 043396059252 - Three Stooges $13 rebate 043396068162 - Three Stooges $13 rebate 025192587627 - Marlon Brando Collection $14 rebate 043396086609 - Brando Gift Set $10 rebate 043396115255 - Mob Box $10 rebate 043396139640 - Left Behind Collection $7 rebate 043396071940 - Legends of the Fall/River Runs Through it $10 rebate 043396100886 - Barbara Streisand Set $10 rebate 043396132894 - Rudy/Radio/Jerry McGuire Set $7 rebate 027616915313 - Martin Scorsese Set $11 rebate 043396067691 - John Singleton Set $10 rebate 012569594876 - Oliver Stone Set $26 rebate 043396097056 - Trois Collectors Box $10 rebate 027616909138 - Amityville Horror Set $11 rebate 025192446122 - Frankenstein $14 rebate 043396074644 - John Carpenters Vampires $7 rebate 025192834523 - Tremors Attack Pack $8 rebate 043396109261 - Vampires Box $10 rebate 043396089648 - Godzilla 3 pack $7 rebate 043396089655 - Godzilla 5 pack $13 rebate 043396090040 - Godzilla 50th $10 rebate 043396094475 - Harryhausen Chronicles 5 pack $15 rebate 043396074095 - Hellboy Directors Cut $10 rebate 027616926395 - Species Trilogy $11 rebate 024543374169 - Xmen Trilogy $14 rebate 027616076434 - Sports Gift Set $11 rebate 097360420647 - Hell is For Heroes Set $11 rebate 025193311221 - Classic Western Round Up 1 $14 rebate 025193311627 - Classic Western Round Up 2 $14 rebate 025195003100 - Eastwood Collection $8 rebate 025192655722 - John Wayne An American Icon $14 rebate 025195004916 - John Wayne Screen.... $14 rebate 097361230443 - John Wayne Adventurer $14 rebate Also various Tins with $4 rebates, nothing too special. TV SETS Alf S4 $11 rebate American Dad S1 $11 rebate Blue Thunder $10 rebate Family Guy V3 and V4 $11 rebate Family Guy V4 w/Shirt $21.00 rebate Forever Knight $15 rebate Futurama 1,2,3,4 $11 rebate Greys Anatomy $14 rebate (786936300451) King of Queens S1-7 $14 rebate Rescue Me 1 and 2 $14 rebate Seinfeld 1-7 $14 rebate Simpsons S1-6 $11 rebates Who's The Boss $10 rebate Will & Grace S1-4 $11 rebate 227 Season 1 $7 rebate Okay, sorry for some vagueness, the descriptions suck on some but the UPC is included. Google for more deets. Remember the sale price will (SHOULD) equal $9.99 plus the rebate amount listed. I apologize if I made any mistakes. Also all DVD's regular priced $14.99 and below are on sale for $9.99 regardless of whether or not they are actually tagged Hope this helps. Most stores should have a table set up somewhere in their marketplace advertising these titles. (All of the signage actually says $9.99 after MIR on select titles, but the ones that I listed, except Futurama, are $10.99 after MIR.) Not sure if the pricing will be adjusted to match the signs in the next couple of days. I'll let you guys know of any changes. This deal should run at least through 6/13, but it may get extended even longer. It should also be good at Coconuts and some other Trans World stores, but I can't say that for sure. I'd call ahead to see if your local store is running the deal. Today, I finally picked up Seinfeld Season 7 since I had been waiting for a good deal to come along. To give you an idea of the pricing: I paid $23.99 - 10% Backstage Pass discount = $21.59 $21.59 - $13.00 MIR = $8.59 total! (I didn't factor the sales tax in, but you get the idea.) I forgot to mention to make photocopies of your receipts and rebate forms since sometimes they get "lost" in the mail. If you have copies of everything, you should have no trouble receiving your rebates if the ones you send in the mail end up MIA. And yes, you can use the yellow & white bar code stickers that FYE has on their merchandise so you don't have to cut up your packaging. Last edited by ltrain; 05-30-07 at 10:03 AM. |

Thanks for the heads up on this deal. I needed to pick up Seinfeld 7. Don't have a problem with the rebates from FYE. I have done probably 10 and have received them all. Even the out the door price is not too shabby.

I just got back from my lunch break. I went to the mall to eat and stopped in FYE. I saw this deal and I thought there was a catch. maybe the catch is just waiting 3 months for a rebate.
Anyways, what really caught my eye was the martin scorsese box set for 9.99 |

I managed to get all six Seinfeld collections for $25.43 each (including tax). After MIR (minus shipping costs), that's about $13.00 per season. Not too bad. Now to find out if I like the show

I got Seinfeld S7 and the Oliver Stoned Ultimate Collection, even though the latter is very questionable to me if it's worth $9.99 AR.
I haven't done any FYE rebates for a while, but last year I bought more than 1 DVD with a rebate in the same week (different movies so different SKUs/UPCs) and the rebate center denied all but 1, and I had a painful and time consuming phone call to get the reps (who sounded like they were in India) to honor the wording which clearly said 1 rebate PER SKU/UPC. Does anyone know if the rebate center has improved in this regard? |

I think that everyone is well aware of your disdain for FYE rebates by now. I, for one, appreciate these threads. I have never had a problem in receiving the check from Parago. |

1. Take yellow price sticker and stick on a post it. 2. fill out rebate slip, follow directions, make legible. 3. take reciept marked clearly as "REBATE RECIEPT" 4. photocopy 5. staple reciept, form, post it together with sticker on top. 6. mail 7. wait Easy to do, I have successfully done dozens just like this without any trouble.

I agree the rebates are a pain in the ass, but it's not that hard to receive them as long as you do everything correctly and make copies of everything. I take it you had a bad experience... Trans World is actually one of the only music/movie specialty retailers left in the retail business and I don't think they're going belly up anytime soon. As long as shopping malls continue to exist, there will probably always be a Trans World store inside. The prices are of course higher than a Walmart or Best Buy, but there are usually some occasional deals that are worth sharing and I think this is one of them. |
