Did they over print this or what? The prices on this are just crazy. I remember being happy when it was 150 bucks!

For the quantity of movies, quality of picture and sound, and plethora of extras, this set anywhere around this price is a no-brainer unless you just hate James Bond.

They sold a ton of individual Bond movies before this set ever came out, soaking up most of the demand for it. If this had come out first instead of the other way around, it would have been a bigger seller.

I doubt that since the Bond 50 set covers only the first 50 years. But you can hold out for the Bond 100 set in the next 50 years. I'm guessing they'll have Spectre in it.

I thought it was going to go on sale for that price as part of a Father's Day promo, but nothing has come out yet. And since Fatehr's Day is this Sunday, it's very unlikely we'll see a sale like that.

Beat me to the post. Says " Last Chance Really"

I guess they have claimed that before. $80 for 22 or 23 films.

This may be the original version without"Skyfall" as it is not mentioned in the description on the order page at Fox Connect. However the e-mail says that Skyfall is included. Still a good deal.

Here is the link.

Outside the $75 deal, is this the cheapest it has been?

Re: Bond 50: Celebrating Five Decades of Bond with Skyfall $75 @ FoxConnect.com

A site called "nomorerack" had it for $40 a year or so ago- I ordered it then but it was cancelled due to lack of stock- I wonder if anyone at all actually got it from them? Since then I've gotten tons of emails from them promoting stuff I have no use for, and I always hit the Delete button remembering that scam.

I don't think a single order from nomorerack was honored.

It's back in stock, but it's now indicated on the site that it does not include Skyfall.

Re: Bond 50: Celebrating Five Decades of Bond with Skyfall $75 @ FoxConnect.com

I am guessing anyone who ordered the set will not get Skyfall. The e-mail sent did make a point that the $80 set included 23 films including Skyfall. I am guessing they removed the listing temporarily when they realized the sets they had did not include the film. Still I guess you would have a reason to complain if you ordered the set based on the e-mail before they changed the listing. Surprised they didn't send out an e-mail making the correction.

I went ahead and ordered the set. After watching a few unboxing videos on Youtube, I realized it was a beautifully executed set—far nicer and much cheaper than the new set. I used to be all about shelf-friendly, but after nabbing the Harry Potter Hogwarts collection for under $100 last Christmas and securing an OOP and mint copy of the Planet of the Apes 40 Year Evolution for $25, I find this packaging design to be the most appealing way to present a film series. The cost per Bond flick, even without Skyfall, is just $3.63 and it includes a slot for Skyfall and also has a bonus disc. I was all over this as soon as saw it was available again. I went to my local resale shop, Zia Records, and snatched a used copy of Skyfall today for $2.99 because it lacked the DVD in the set. So now I have the complete 23 films included in the set. The disc doesn't match the black design of the others, but who cares? It still has the similar 007 logo layout....just a white background with Daniel Craig instead of black and it sits by itself with the bonus disc so it is less obvious....some people in other forums think that is an issue....I'm fine with it since this is likely my last opportunity to get this on the cheap—the used prices hover around $139. Thank you OP

Re: Bond 50: Celebrating Five Decades of Bond with Skyfall $75 @ FoxConnect.com

Dear xxxx,

Thank you for your patience. In lieu of returning the set for a refund, a replacement Skyfall disc will be shipped out to you. The order has been placed for this item, and tracking will be emailed once available.

We apologize again, and thank you for your interest in FOX!

Thank you,
Fox Customer Care

Skyfall came in a clear plastic case and not in retail packaging. I was able to slip it into the slot reserved for Skyfall in the Bond 50 set and so I got what the e-mail originally advertised. Thank You Fox Connect.
