Ordered, I almost ordered it for $99.99 a few times during the Black Friday sales, glad I held off.

So with all the Bond releases, they have been the first set of DVDs, then the special edition dvds, and then just the one BD per film, right? The discs are the same here, except for the bonus disc?

And does any Bond expert know if there was anything not ported to the BDs?

Dammit, just bought a bunch of the BDs on Black Friday. Would have totally gotten this if I had known. :(

May be worth it returning those individual discs if you have not opened them yet. I've already bought 2 of these sets previously. Yet am still tempted to get one more. Don't know why. ;)

Yes.

The Mission Control feature is missing from some of the films. I don't remember which ones specifically, though. Other than that the content is identical to the UE DVDs.

My original set from the first Amazon BF sale at $99 is still unopened.

Never got a chance to watch them with other newer stuff still unwatched. :(

I only have Die Another Day and Casino Royale on DVD. The following features are not on the Blu-rays in the Bond 50 set:

Die Another Day
Inside Die Another Day (76 mins)

Casino Royale
Bond Girls are Forever (46 mins)

Thanks guys. Reading a few reviews confirms that those things should be the only things missing. I'll keep those two discs f I own them, but otherwise sell all my Bonds and try not to lose sleep over the Mission Control stuff.

Everyone thought I was crazy when I said I would wait for $80 or less last year.

I just ordered one. It says "Only 500 Units left" so does that mean this collection is about to OOP?

SterlingBen 12-08-14 06:29 PM

Re: Bond 50: Celebrating Five Decades of Bond with Skyfall $75 @ FoxConnect.com

Probably just stock level left on site. But the set may also be OOP as it is almost OOD with Spector coming out next year.

How is the audio on these Bond Blu-ray Discs? Do the mixes accurately capture the Wall of Sound production style?

I recommend signing up for the UPS site. It's free and they send you a notice anytime a package is coming to your address.

And I can usually presign if I'm not going to be home. If you can trust your neighbors like me :)

I was thinking the same thing about Spector coming out. I got my set in the mail yesterday. I'm glad I went ahead and ordered, it looks like they no longer even have a listing for the set on Foxconnect.com and Amazon is out of stock too (it's still available from marketplace sellers).
