DVD Planet's FAQ's state that you wont be charged for an item until it ships, today I checked my account and I was charged for all off my pre-orders, has anyone came across this? I would have never ordered as much stuff if I knew I'd be charged months in advance.

Some of the blu-rays I ordered (Keaton shorts and The Sacrifice) weren't marked blu-ray while others were.

You got an actual charge or just an authorization? My card had an authorization on it that will drop off, but I've only been charged for what has already shipped.

Authorization, I just thought it was odd that everything I ordered this week didn't show up as an authorization until today, so I thought it was like Amazon where they don't even authorize the amount. It still makes no sense, I could see them doing $1.00 to see if the card is open, but doing an Authorization on funds that wont be charged for a month+ whose to say that amount would still be in someones account, kind of pointless. I don't really care since I use my debit card, tied to my checking, so its not like the money they are holding is going to destroy me, just thought it was odd.

Since I'm having a child and the due date is at the start of the BN sale, I'm not going to be able or care to take advantage of it, so I was very happy with this sale, was able to grab a bunch of Criterions and Kino releases I needed at fair prices.

So is it normal for DVD Planet to take orders you received free shipping on and split them up and charge shipping per item? Just checked my bank account and noticed that a order I had placed for 5 items, 3 shipped separately and for each blu-ray they added $2.xx to the total, these weren't pre-orders they were back orders.

I don't think that's normal. Maybe they are trying to recoup for the unintended low prices.
