Anyone know if this set is finally in a regular plastic case like it is in Canada, only without the ugly bilingual artwork?
When I ordered a few months ago when it was 14.99 it came in a tri-fold case.

The single-width Blu-ray case has been available here for several months. (incidentally, the lowest it's gone so far is $19.99, but that's an acceptable premium over $14.99 not to have cheap, ugly, space-wasting packaging for those who might not have the set yet). Amazon's U.S. listing still pictures the tri-fold, so I have to assume that's the one being offered.

I actually jumped on Downton Abbey: Season One for $17.99. Normally period dramas put me to sleep... but this ended up being one of the best first seasons of any TV show I've ever watched (11 Emmy nominations).

Amazon has a calendar of deals on TV box sets next week. No prices listed yet, but it's something to keep an eye on if your interested in any of them. Only three BD sets are listed. Glee season one, Dexter seasons 1-5 pack and Deadwood complete series. If the Dexter pack is below 100 I think I'll have to grab it. Here's the link:http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.htm...cId=1000497491

That link doesn't seem to work. What day is the Deadwood series on sale?

Just got an e-mail for Amazon Chase VISA holders...using code SEP20OFF saves you 20% off up to three TV sets from a select list at www.amazon.com/septemberoffer. Through 9/15.

Sadly, don't see any of the Tuesday releases there; maybe that will change. The Twilight Zone Blu sets are all there, and with the code come to about $39 a pop...but only 3 allowed?! BOO!

Maybe I'm slow on the uptake, but could someone tell me how to get to the list of eligible titles? I click on the link and I see the offer, with links to all TV genres below it. That's it. When I click on any of the genres, it just shows me what appears to be every title they have in that genre, rather than just the eligible ones.

I think all those titles are eligible. The search criteria at the top specifically says "Chase promotion".

I saw everything listed too, so I picked out three that I wanted from it all (I'd love to get more, but just can't afford it), put them in my cart, and everything went through fine! I don't know if they meant for it, but the 20% off seems to work on it all through that link!

Re: Amazon Discounts and Deals Thread #7 (is it #7? I'll pretend it is)

Some non-TV titles are included among the titles eligible for the Chase 20% off. Sherlock Holmes: The Complete Film Collection, the Basil Rathbone films, NOT the new TV show, is included. It's at $61.99 right now. Also, I found Galaxy Quest for $12.49. Bob Dylan: Don't Look Back is $15.99. These prices are before the 20% off.

Deadwood: The Complete Series and the Dexter Seasons 1-5 sets are also on the list ... Maybe we will be able to stack this code with whatever deals they offer.

So Im thinking of going for a blind buy of this blu but I want a good deal. But above the blu, I would love an image either poster size or wallpaper size of that image (without the title would be a huge plus)

Wow, that's amazing if true. I'll give it a try. Could be spending some serious cash if it works out.

EDIT: Just tested it with three items of my choice in the cart and it does indeed work! Possibility for some great deals here. Thanks all for the info!

Re: Amazon Discounts and Deals Thread #7 (is it #7? I'll pretend it is)

I had The BBC High-Definition Natural History Collection 1 & 2 in my cart yesterday - I was hoping to pair these with Deadwood on Thursday. They've now raised the price on these two from around $50 each to $82 and $114 each. Oh well - I guess its money I didn't really need to spend.
