Bridesmaids (2011, D: Feig, EP: Apatow) S: Wiig

As a big Wiig fan, I think this looks hilarious (she wrote it as well). Apatow is only the producer, but the director has worked on Freaks and Geeks, The Office, and Arrested Development. I can't wait to see this!

I'm going to sound like a dick..but...why not just go to youtube and embed the trailer?
Honestly though...I'd fuck the shit out of Wiig..I don't know why...something abot her...just makes me want to fuck her. OOOohhh! I'm not gay or mhg83 or anything...but this has Jon Hamm in it...I might watch this now:

Seems ok. It's nice to see an all female comedy movie that wouldn't be that embarassing for a guy to attend

Looks like it could be fun. I dig Ellie Kemper and Kristen Wiig, so I'll probably catch it.

Well I got to see this tonight at a very early sneak preview...
Overall, I liked it and laughed quite a bit, but it was overlong (2 hours and 5 mins sans credits, but maybe some stuff will get cut before the actual release) and stuck to convention a little bit more than my liking. Still, the laughs carry the movie and I thought Wiig was really good in her first starring role. I have a feeling this is going to be a pretty big hit, as the audience tonight seemed to be loving every minute.
I'd give it 3 stars out of 4.

Saw a completed version of this and really enjoyed it. It's probably the best female-driven comedy I've ever seen, and certainly one of the smartest. Kristen Wiig, who I generally can't stand on SNL, is fantastic here and very funny, as are the other bridesmaids, particularly Melissa McCarthy who's a fucking riot every time she's on screen.
I didn't find the trailers that funny so I wasn't sure what to expect, but this is a very good film. I'm hoping this is as big a break for director (and Freaks & Geeks creator) Paul Feig as it is for Wiig.

I'm not going to lie, that red band trailer did nothing for me. The only joke I chuckled at was "Maybe you're all pregnant. Congratulations!"
There's something about Rose Byrne. I feel like she would be really hot if she didn't always look like she bit into something awful.
Also, with how great she's been as Penny on Happy Endings, it's a shame they didn't get Casey Wilson for this.

Add me to the "Wiig is totally bangable" list. I like Byrne. She's cute despite her constant sourpuss expression.
But, yeah, the trailer did nothing for me. In fact, none of the ads have made this look particularly funny.

Oh yeah, Wiig is definitely bangable. Hell, I'll see this just for the scenes where Jon Hamm is porkin' her.

I like the idea of liking this movie because I enjoy some of the talent involved, but the trailer felt too long; I can't imagine how the actual film would play to me.

What hasn't been mentioned yet is that this film reuinites Paul Feig and Judd Apatow as a creative team which we haven't seen since Freaks and Geeks.
[Feig has a brief cameo in Knocked Up, but the two hasn't worked as a creative pair since then.]

I've been thinking about fouling Wiig holiest of holies for years now. It's good to see her getting a starring role.

Same, since she joined SNL.

Funny women are almost inherently sexy to me anyway so of course I would tap Wiig. I wouldn't mind Myra Rudolph either for that matter.
