Oh and who keeps casting Maya Rudolph? Her fugliness is at best a distraction.

So I glad I did not blind buy.
My wife rented this and I left probably about the same time you did. Maybe if it had been trimmed down to a snappier pace, but even then I just wasn't enjoying it.

She powered through and I think she enjoyed it.

I saw this in theaters and thought it was just "okay". I was expecting some slam-bang laughfest with all these references to the "female version of The Hangover" and what I got was a chick-flick with a few scenes of toilet humor.

That chick from Mike & Molly grated on my nerves, too.

I don't think it deserved all the praise it was getting though, that's for sure.

On the Maya Rudolph note, I think she's entertaining at times..but...it seems like having kids and etc have kind of toned down what attractiveness she had.

I actually think she looks better than she did before kids. Seems more radiant now.

Agreed...caught up with it On Demand, and I too just thought it was "okay", while my wife thought it was awful (no surprise there, as she hates almost anything with Judd Apatow's fingerprints on it - he was a producer here). I'd give it a C plus or 2 1/2 stars.

I thought it was better than the Hangover - which didn't make me laugh at all.

Amen. I thought "Bridesmaids" was hilarious. And I found nothing funny about "The Hangover". Except maybe the chubby kid and the two cops in the police station.

We blind bought this for my girlfriend since it was on sale for black Friday and she just thought it was ok. A couple funny moments, but overall fairly boring. We didn't laugh much throughout at all.

+1. I kept waiting and waiting for the funny stuff to kick in, but... The Hangover is one of the most overrated comedies in movie history.

If not the most overrated.

This. The wife and I saw this last night. I put it at the top of my Netflix queue to see what the hype was all about. I smiled a couple of times but never really laughed. And when the credits rolled and I saw Feig's and Apatow's name, I realized why it wasn't funny.

Same here. Finally saw this last weekend and laughed out loud exactly twice: during the dress fitting and Wiig's attempts to get a ticket.
