Seinfeld, Family Guy, Futurama, King of Queens and others $9.99 after MIR at FYE B&M

We just started a new deal on boxsets today as part of a gigantic summer sale at FYE. As you can see from the thread title, this deal does involve mail in rebates so for those people that are sick of dealing with them, I'd advise you to stay away. Okay, sorry for some vagueness, the descriptions suck on some but the UPC is included. Google for more deets. Remember the sale price will (SHOULD) equal $9.99 plus the rebate amount listed. I apologize if I made any mistakes.

Also all DVD's regular priced $14.99 and below are on sale for $9.99 regardless of whether or not they are actually tagged

Hope this helps.

Most stores should have a table set up somewhere in their marketplace advertising these titles. (All of the signage actually says $9.99 after MIR on select titles, but the ones that I listed, except Futurama, are $10.99 after MIR.) Not sure if the pricing will be adjusted to match the signs in the next couple of days. I'll let you guys know of any changes.

This deal should run at least through 6/13, but it may get extended even longer. It should also be good at Coconuts and some other Trans World stores, but I can't say that for sure. I'd call ahead to see if your local store is running the deal.

Today, I finally picked up Seinfeld Season 7 since I had been waiting for a good deal to come along. To give you an idea of the pricing:

I paid $23.99 - 10% Backstage Pass discount = $21.59

$21.59 - $13.00 MIR = $8.59 total!

(I didn't factor the sales tax in, but you get the idea.)

I forgot to mention to make photocopies of your receipts and rebate forms since sometimes they get "lost" in the mail. If you have copies of everything, you should have no trouble receiving your rebates if the ones you send in the mail end up MIA.

And yes, you can use the yellow & white bar code stickers that FYE has on their merchandise so you don't have to cut up your packaging.

seems like some great deals! do you know if there are any coconuts left? i still have some store credit from a return i did a while back but my store closed down. unfortunately it is in the form of a receipt and not a gift card (which i could use at fye etc) any suggestions? tia

Thanks for the heads up on this deal. I needed to pick up Seinfeld 7. Don't have a problem with the rebates from FYE. I have done probably 10 and have received them all. Even the out the door price is not too shabby.

I just got back from my lunch break. I went to the mall to eat and stopped in FYE. I saw this deal and I thought there was a catch. maybe the catch is just waiting 3 months for a rebate.

Anyways, what really caught my eye was the martin scorsese box set for 9.99

I managed to get all six Seinfeld collections for $25.43 each (including tax). After MIR (minus shipping costs), that's about $13.00 per season. Not too bad. Now to find out if I like the show

I got Seinfeld S7 and the Oliver Stoned Ultimate Collection, even though the latter is very questionable to me if it's worth $9.99 AR.

I haven't done any FYE rebates for a while, but last year I bought more than 1 DVD with a rebate in the same week (different movies so different SKUs/UPCs) and the rebate center denied all but 1, and I had a painful and time consuming phone call to get the reps (who sounded like they were in India) to honor the wording which clearly said 1 rebate PER SKU/UPC.

Does anyone know if the rebate center has improved in this regard?

I'd rather have FYE's MIR than multiple Google Checkout accounts for a similar amount off.

I think that everyone is well aware of your disdain for FYE rebates by now. I, for one, appreciate these threads. I have never had a problem in receiving the check from Parago.

Nor have I. Easy steps for sucess are.

1. Take yellow price sticker and stick on a post it.
2. fill out rebate slip, follow directions, make legible.
3. take reciept marked clearly as "REBATE RECIEPT"
4. photocopy
5. staple reciept, form, post it together with sticker on top.
6. mail
7. wait

Easy to do, I have successfully done dozens just like this without any trouble.

I agree the rebates are a pain in the ass, but it's not that hard to receive them as long as you do everything correctly and make copies of everything. I take it you had a bad experience...

Trans World is actually one of the only music/movie specialty retailers left in the retail business and I don't think they're going belly up anytime soon. As long as shopping malls continue to exist, there will probably always be a Trans World store inside.

The prices are of course higher than a Walmart or Best Buy, but there are usually some occasional deals that are worth sharing and I think this is one of them.
