Nice choices, including "other"!

I voted for ROTK, however....

I'd consider the Good, the Bad and the Ugly, but when you get down to brass tacks, it's really part of a serial if anything, and not so much one triology arc.

The best movie I can think of to end a trilogy is "The World of Apu", the capper to Sajigyt(sp) Ray's Apu Trilogy. It strikes the just the right chord in comparison to the other films.

The Return of the King, though a vastly different film, is right there for me, and I don't particularlly care for the entire series, but you've got to give credit where it's due.

And I think I can say sight unseen that Indy 4 will only serve to mar the brillance reached with Indy and the Last Crusade. A few slow spots, and not to the level of Raiders, but a beautiful film, and what a great moment amongst the 4 at the end.

Are we talking overall or in comparison to the two previous films in the series? For me, ROTK wasn't as good as FOTR. So I voted for Last Crusade.

I like Alien 3 a lot. But it was the third film in a quadrilogy. I went with Red.

I voted for Return of the King, for lack of a better choice, but it's hard to take those out of the context of one 12 hour long film. When people ask me which one I liked the best, it's hard to choose because I can't break them down like that.

There was a 4th... must have a mental block or something on that one

Seriously though of the ones listed I'd go w/ Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The problem of voting for RotK IMHO is that it's not really a separate movie. The whole "trilogy" is really meant to be seen as one movie. Of the ones not listed I'd go w/ Police Story 3 (aka Supercop).

No contest - Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. A lot of the others require the first two films in the series. The true sign of a good sequel continues the story from the originals but that it can stand on its own as a good movie without the others.

I'd have to say Return of the King is the best, with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade coming in a close second.

Last Crusade, although we know ROTK will win this poll.

The images of Indiana, Dad, Solly and Marcus riding off into the sunset is priceless.

I voted for The Last Crusade as well, as it is probably my favorite Indy movie and therefore succeeds in a way few sequels can. In contrast, I like the Lord of the Rings movies all about equally.

Using that criteria, I would probably pick Army of Darkness next. It's far and away my favorite Evil Dead movie.

I picked Red, an excellent ending to an amazing trilogy (And actually the best one in it).

The Last Crusade was the best in the trilogy.

Day of the Dead was close.

All the others, I don't feel were the best.
