At my old highschool (rimshot)

uh, but no, sorry, don't know where to get it. Don't believe all the hype though - it was alright, but nothing great. (at least IMHO)

You can get episodes on Morpheus. ABC Family channel was airing re-runs recently (not sure if they still are though).

I have all the episodes on tape if you would like.

I thought the show was great. It was like "The Wonder Years" of 2000, except without the narration. It was a very good show.

I honestly don't know if it's still on TV. It was on Fox Family for a while...

DO believe the hype. Watch them all and you will see that it blows the doors off of most of the crap on TV right now. I think that even though peoples tastes are different, it is hard to appreciate this show if you are into any sort of "modern" pop culture (rap rock, MTV, Buffy, and crap like that)

JUDD APATOW IS A GODDAMN GENIUS. IF YOU DISAGREE, YOU ARE WRONG.

I loved the show and was very sorry to see it cancelled. Excellent characters and scripts.

This is hands down the greatest show to ever grace the television. It's cancellation (along with the laugh track and cancellation of sports night) is hands down proof that the networks are run by a bunch of brainless monkeys.

It is not currently being aired on any station anywhere. You can get bootlegs from many places. The bootlegs are probably a better bet than waiting for a dvd, as word is that even if a dvd is ever released it would have to have a whole new soundtrack dubbed into it as the song rights for dvd release would be too expensive. And if you know the show, you know that the soundtrack was integral to many of the episodes.

Freaks of Geeks was a wonderful show. Funny, touching, outstanding acting and top-notch writing. Great soundtrack, too. I've heard rumors that the series will be released on dvd. Not sure how true that is.

To be fair, I think it's more likely proof that the viewing public is a bunch of brainless monkeys. Networks are going to run whatever makes money, i.e. what lots of people will watch. Freaks and Geeks had a small base of rabid fans, but the public at large never gave it a shot.

I'll buy that, but you also have to take into account the fact that the show was stuck in a terrible slot and then not allowed substantial time to gain a foothold.

Very good point. They also didn't publicize this show correctly, IMO. They advertised it as a teen comedy (read: a comedy for teens) when in fact it was a comedy/drama ABOUT teens but really for an older audience. I also don't think the title helped much. I imagine many people discounted it without ever seeing the show because the title sounded like something mindless and juvenile.

So I agree that the network is largely at fault for the show's failure. On the other hand, the brainless monkeys didn't tune in while they had the chance because they were too busy watching the mindless dreck that the networks usually serve up with great success.

Freaks and Geeks -- airing again on ABC Family

I don't know to what extent ABC Family is going to air Freaks and Geeks again, but an episode is on tonight (8/3) at midnight Eastern Time. Another episode is scheduled for next week at the same time, as well.

I love this show to death and I'm just trying to spread the word for the uninitiated and/or for fans of Undeclared who never caught this show (both shows share the same creator).

EVERYONE who has the opportunity to watch this, DO SO.

It's one of the best TV programs of the last few years, a real gem to treasure. Great television.

That episode that aired on the 3rd is so good... the Geek Council offering advice on how to avoid the bully... Sam's pain at the realization that it's a 'fast dance'... (and his eventual coping)... the bully/geeks showdown. Such a great show.

Oh, and Flaherty's rant on how everyone all the people who are DEAD. Hilarious.

AAAaaaaAAAAaaaAAAAAAAaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAA! I missed it! That'll teach me to not read the forums for a week!

A tip for anyone who thinks they'll wait for a dvd release - It has been said that there is no way that they could afford the rights to all the music on the show for a dvd release. So catching it on tv is the only way you'll probably get to see the show intact.

And if you've seen the show, you know how important the music is.
