Nuts. I had not seen this show before, but decided to check it out. I saw the episode this Saturday and enjoyed it. Was looking forward to more.

Don't be too hasty - if the time slot is saturday at midnight, it's only not on next week due to some sort of "Bachelor" marathon. I can't find anything that has listings for Saturday the 24th yet. So hopefully all is not lost.

TiVo lists a showing on the 24th - no episode info yet though.

Has the two-hour premiere ever been rerun? That thing had me in tears at the end.

Caught it last night, and I must say "Good show", but it kind of boggles the mind how much ABC Family edits a show that ran in Primetime for a Midnight cable rerun. The word "crap" is not allowed?!

Any news, good or bad, on a DVD release?

Bad. Licensing the music for home video is prohibitively expensive, and considering how integral the music is to the series, th' creators are reluctant to go down that road. You'll notice that around half of the songs have been replaced in these midnight broadcasts.

When Daniel first made his speech about "Track 1...Track 2.....Track 3 - which one one do you guess I was in?" I said to the Tv "Track 4?" and I cracked myself up.

That would have been a funny line if Lindsey or the teacher said that to him.

Freaks and Geeks

Why does ABC family show this sporadically. Its scheduled for next week, but thats it. i think their website only shows 2 weeks ahead so it'll be gone 2 weeks from now, but might be back later. just show it every week.

I agree I wish they would. I think they just consider it a good "filler" right now. I wish they'd get on the ball and release this series on DVD. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

They seem to be showing it in order every other week. But I think they missed last week. I'm hoping it's for more than one run because I'm trying to record it and I missed the first 3. I hope someone picks up Undeclared at some point. I thought that show was just as good.

It really ticks me off that every Saturday night at midnight I go to check to see if it's on, and it's always some movie on. That's happened the last two weeks, and at least this past week it was listed in the tV schedule.

Yeah, every time I see a Freaks and Geeks thread, I anticipate someone proclaiming its return to TV, but that's never the case.

I try and catch as many as I can. My favorite show in a very long time. Catching a repeat is so much better than 90% of the shows being broadcast on TV today.....every show that I really like never makes it. Oh well, off to catch a rerun.

Don't forget, any DVD release would be stripped down and awful, according to Apatow.

I'm slowly collecting the episodes on my Tivo, and then I hope to burn them to DVDs - not perfect, but it's the best option.

They haven't gotten to the last episode yet, so you gotta just keep an eye out for it. They have been showing them in order so I assume they will get through them all eventually. It's not on next weekend either, not sure about the weekend after that. There should be 5 or 6 shows until they get through them all. I'm hoping they'll run them a second time since I missed recording the first 3 or 4 episodes.

A very, very, very good show. But you aren't getting into much because it is only 9 episodes, right? I can safely say that I think it would have become one of the most beloved shows of all time if it continued. It just debuted at a time when networks were stupid. Cheers got bad ratings for a few seasons, no? Oh well.

Basically, if you enjoy "The Wonder Years", it is a must buy. Hope you enjoy it.
