So does anyone think this will be a one-and-done event? I'd have to assume that the ratings will be massive. What does Fox do next; try to get the movie back on track or bring back the full series? Or nothing...

They've gone on record saying that it could lead to a potential continuation of the series. Fingers crossed.

I think we can pretty much bet it will be back in some form or another. Whether its a 12 episode summer series. Or a a limited series that comes back every couple of years...

I am hoping the shorter season means much tighter storytelling... I too put this back on my seasons pass and was so happy doing so...

Louie and 24 returning the same night... I am excited

I haven't had a show that I've looked forward to this much in years.

I wonder what the ratings need to be on this for FOX to consider doing this again next summer?

There was a special BTS program on Saturday night that TANKED in the ratings, but I don't know that many people knew it was on, or were that interested in it.

i'm going to go out on a limb and guess if the ratings are like what Under the Dome were last summer, they'd probably be thrilled.

It's premiering up against live shows of both Dancing with the Stars and The Voice - I have no idea what numbers those shows are pulling in these days, but i kind of wish FOX had picked a different night.

the premiere is going to be highly rated not matter what. this is a pretty big "event" in terms of TV in the past decade or so. whether it retains the audience is what Fox is hopeful for. my guess is it will since it is only 13 episodes.

Fortunately, it's up against reality elimination TV shows on the other networks... nothing worth watching, and certainly something that you can skip a week and catch up on the the following week. After all, whomever gets eliminated, they're not worth watching, right?

It's only 12 episodes and only 11 weeks, as two episodes air back-to-back tonight.

Nothing worth watching for intelligent people like us, but those types of shows DO seem to hoard most of the viewing audience. Then there's a Rangers/Penguins hockey game tonight, so I don't know how much of the New York market that will take...I do know about 75 percent of the TVs here in Pittsburgh WON'T be watching Jack Bauer live - of course, I'm one of the other 25 percent.

It's obvious this has huge expectations and a lot of hype. It seems like Fox really missed an opportunity to launch Gang Related strongly.
