I'm also somewhat shocked at all the negative reviews - it was one of the first moderately unique games i've played in a very long time. Actually this is the first pc game in literally months to drag me away from my dreamcast.

yeah, it's nice to see some originality in games. I guess this is a love it or hate it game. even if you're not a fan, at least play through the first island before your return it. It's more fun when you have to play against lethys. The controls take a while to master too.
