From the first version to the current SimCity 3000, I really love this series of games. Anyone else? Man, I was addicted to the first one when it came out.

Sorry to bump, but ...

has anyone heard anything recently about SimCity 4? I heard that it was planned for a November 2002 release, but I can't find any information at simcity.com.

I loved playing Sim City on the SNES before I had a computer. Then when I finally got a 486 DX-50 I bought Sim City 2000 and it was excellent. I had a city with a population of about 20 million+. I never got into SC3000 as much, a bit of the same old same old. But do enjoy The Sims on occasion.

I've read blurbs about SimCity4 in various gaming mags, but I wouldn't expect it this year. CGW had it on the cover a couple months back.

The SC4k screenshots and from what I've read makes it look like a big step up from the previous ones. I can't wait for it to come out. I actually just found my copy of SC3k and SimTower I started playing SimTower. That's an addicting game as well.

I really don't like it. I'd rather play The Sims though.

SimCity 3K had nothing really new for me --- that's about to change with SimCity 4...!

Yeah, I know what you mean... I got it a few months ago, played it for a few hours, and moved on. It just wasn't able to keep me playing.

Honestly, I liked the SNES one the best. It had that mayor dude who came out and looked all cool and stuff.

I haven't played since SC2000 though...

I did get a kick out of the SimGolf Demo though.
