The game boy advance will msrp for $99.99 oh sorry $99.95 big difference. with games for 29.99-39.99 and will be available in three colors. white, translucent blue and violet.
here is the official press release. http://www.gameboy.com/pressreleasemar7.html i wonder what they mean by "virtually" all game boy games will be compatible. |
please disregard i just saw that someone already posted this. i checked but didn't see it before sorry.

by the way there is also a possibility of an accessory available for both the game boy color and the gba that will allow users to connect the game system to a cell phone for internet gaming. not sure if this will be realized over here.

one more thing..., i know i could edit but that wouldnt get my post numbers up now would it, anyways sega has signed with nintendo and will make games featuring sonic among others for the game boy color and most likely the game boy advance. interesting isnt it. i havent heard of something like this happening before. one of the major factions of the video game industry making games for another tribe? these truly are the last days.

'Chu Chu Rocket' from Sega is a definite for GBA.

It's no secret that Sega is moving out of the hardware business and focusing on what they do best--games. Sega's also developing for the PS2 (Virtua Fighter 4). No confirmation yet on X-Box or Gamecube, but I'd be willing to guess they'll be there, too.
Anyone know if anyone is taking pre-orders yet for GBA? I'm not missing out on this one at launch. Thanks! Dave |
Sega Reps have openingly committed to GameCube, even going to so far to say it is the best next gen system. (Cube.ign.com)

I thought the GBA was only costing around $80 in Japan. I hope its not an example of Nintendo dumping on the American Market again. Thats what Europe is for. :D

[/B] Well, that's esy enough to get around. just break the latch. Well sure, but you also have to deal with the way the cart is "shaved". If you look at it you will notce a 45 degree angle across the bottem parts of the cart. It coresponds to the gameboy. So to get around this you would have to do some heavy modification to the GB. Now I should mention that I'm pulling this all from memory, so I may be wrong. Also its not a guarantee that will be the case with the GBA. However it's likely because it's backward compatable. |

For those that want it right after the japanese release date, http://www.buyrite.net/advance/gbadvance.html, Not a very good price, but may be worth it for those that want it 3 months early. |
