I downloaded Mame not too long ago and heard some good things about 720 Degrees. So I downloaded it, and it seems like a really, REALLY good game. But....WTF is with the one-life-per-game thing and those goddamn bees? What the hell were they thinking when they made the game like that? This game could be so fun, but it's so goddamn impossible to play. Is there like some kind of code or way around the 'time' in this game? Anything?

Ditto. My problem with it is you only get 3 continues. I tinkered around with the service menu and changed it to start with 3 tickets, which somewhat helps. I'd love an open mode where I can just go around and thrash.

Does anyone know what the helmet or the skateboard do? I think the skateboard makes you go faster and the helmet makes you spin better but I'm not sure (I get 3rd level helmet and it really doesn't seem different).

If this game had unlimited continues it'd be funner. Right now I get really pissed off at it.

So does anyone know any hacks or whatnot?

Thanks.

I believe the helmet allows you to get up faster after bails, and the skateboard I believe lets you get better jumps and spins. I have it for mame and wish I had the joystick like they had in the arcade. It's the only way I know how to play it!

This thing ate tons of my quarters in the arcade. I'm surprised the only decent skateboard game to come after it was Tony Hawk. That controller made it so much easier, the gameplay seems to be built around it, going in straight lines. I've adapted to a gamepad, but it's not the same.

Some guy has the joystick up for auction on Ebay.

I'd be willing to make a specific Mame cabinet just to have 720 with the real joystick.
