really, i wasn't aware you could do this -- I'm intrigued. Is the vga adaptor just a plug that goes on the end of the tv/av cables from the console or what? do you then unplug the monitor from the computer and plug it into the cable?
this is a new and interesting development in my rather cheap and shoddy world
Would this work with an n64? I'm interested in borrowing my friends to mess with zelda some more.
any info would be appreciated.
thanks,
Tuan Jim

You can also get a TV tuner card that has a video input... might be a bit more expensive than a straight adaptor... but you don't have to switch anything around. And this way you can get an AV receiver and hook up multiple consoles to the receiver and send them all to your monitor. Nice.

actually every system since the NES has had this capability, so its not new.. im not sure if PS2 has one yet though. I think DC was just the only one what had an actual licensed one.

There is a VGA adapter for the PS2. I purchased it from:
http://www.upstategames.com/ps2vga.html
Dailyradar.com review it recently:

The picture quality is better than regular TV, but not as good as my dreamcast VGA adapter.

So, what would I want to search under (online) for an adapter for either playstation or N64 (i'm not sure my friend will let me borrow his dc). That's really good news if there are adapters available for every console. Any more info would be appreciated.
