Hi all,
I was just reading CGW's 200th issue and they had some people sharing their great gaming moments... What are some of yours? Any platform (PC, Video Game) accepted....
Some of mine would be....
Planet Miners: Sabotaging my brother's 5 ship with my 2 ship... (5 = best, 1 = worst)
Quake II: Being above and behind my opponent and preparing to blast them, but having to wait for a rotor to pass first. When the rotor moved, the enemy had disappeared, just like a movie.
Starcraft: Finishing the entire single-player campaign. The ending cutscene was incredible.
What would yours be?

The Final Fantasy endings! FF7 and FF8 had so many great moments its amazing. I'm not on the 4th disc yet of FF9, but it's had moments too. By the way, anyone who posts here might want to use the SPOILER formula [.spoiler]INSERT SPOILER HERE [/.spoiler] . Just use that (without the periods).

On a side note, I'd just like to clarify that I'm a big dork. I accidently hit EDIT instead of QUOTE and for the life of me couldn't figure out why I couldn't login.
Then I decided to read what kept popping up, so I checked, and I'm just a dork.

Master of Orion: the benevolent, diplomatic Human Empire seizing a decisive win in a Turn of Total Genocide. Aside from a very minor skirmish or two, almost not a single shot fired. Every other race loved me, and it was profoundly easy to keep all of them as full allies for huge stretches as my empire solidified in its small corner, unmolested, too small in scope to angery the others that way. Meanwhile once a certain level of technology was maintained, I designed a massive fleet of a class of ship called simply and appropriately, the Genocide. Loaded with insanely powerful top-of-tech-tree weaponry, planet-killing bombs to the gills, etc. Took awhile to manufacture, but time was easy to come by. As full allies, they didn't mind my ships passing leisurely throught their systems, until I had Genocide Fleets parked over every alien world in the game. And on the turn following the final positioning, breaking every single alliance and then annihilating everything. I cackled for a long time following, and the memory still makes me smile.

I've got a few, dating back to way back in the day (for me)!:
Figuring out how to do that elbow move in the arcade version of Double Dragon
Using Haggar to do a spinning-piledriver move on the level bosses in Final Fight
Being able to do consecutive "Ho-you-gen" moves against opponents in Street Fighter (the original one with only Ryu and Ken) and beating them that way
Getting a four-line "Tetris" in the game Tetris AND simultaneously clearing the entire screen
Hitting that stupid leaf in Point Blank!
The endings of Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy IX (though admittedly, more the former than the latter)
