Does anyone know of any places that are taking preorders yet? This system looks pretty sweet and I want to make sure I get in on the action, unlike the PS2, where I sat in line all night only to be the 34th person at Target that only had 33....

A few local independent places are taking preorders for the Japanese release. Of course the prices are steep. $299.99 for the system and Mario Advance. People will buy them though. I know several people that paid $800 for a PS2 when it first came out in Japan.

upstategames or whatever had it for 150 including mario advance. I preordered 1 for me and a roomie
I paid 450 for my JAP PS2 when it first came out a year ago but it was all worth it in August with the mod chip
