I didn't care for 7 or 8, but this new game has piqued my interest.

so, will this be first person or 3rd? I couldn't get the impression from the video as to which one this is.

It is FPS. I'd rather it be third person, but I am still in on this.

Re: RESIDENT EVIL REQUIEM: February 27, 2026.

I'm not sure how much more these games can disappoint me. While 7 was decent (and got back to a survival horror element), it was an RE game in name only. I don't hold high hopes for this. I am excited that RE2 and RE3 are coming to PSN, hopefully they will be purchasable and not locked behind the PS Premium wall.

Was going to say the same thing - they learned their lesson from 8 (when they implemented it later) - 8 was still great, but people (including myself) love the third person mode in RE games.

So I guess that answers once and for all the question if Leon is in the game or not (at least as a playable character).

Ugh, too many gameplay reveal trailers - doesn't anyone like to be surprised anymore? I really wish I didn't see the new stalker gameplay video - I only clicked on it because I thought it was just going to be a dev talking about the gameplay in general

What's weird is that the more I see of this game, the less interested I become. The teaser hooked me, but the rest just makes it something I might play when cheap or forget about altogether.

Village was excellent. I loved it. That was 1st person RE, and it looked and felt like an RE game. IMO…this doesn’t remotely look like any RE game in the entire series.

Re: RESIDENT EVIL REQUIEM: February 27, 2026.

There's something off with how this game looks. The graphics look like upper tier AA rather than a tent pole AAA release, and the animations are a touch stiff. If this where a new IP from an unproven dev, I'd be more forgiving. But this doesn't look as polished as I'd expect from Capcom for a series like Resident Evil.

I'm still trying to figure out what you're on about - the gameplay\zombies are literally going to be old school:
