No release date but the trailer says coming soon. This will be a day on purchase as I love these types of games.

Jumping between worlds looks like an interesting mechanic that I don't think I've seen before. Given two options, it looks like the lead car chooses one. Color me intrigued.

Looks like they copied the rift mechanic from Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart.

Looks like this will be on the PS4 still, good. Our kids love the original and we haven't upgraded and likely won't. My guess is the discount will cone just in time for Black Friday for us.

It's interesting that the Switch is not listed on the game's website but it is on the trailer.

Anyone try the beta test yet? I tried it on Switch 2 and my PC and was underwhelmed. Graphically, it looks like an upscaled last gen game (on both PC and Switch 2). Doesn't like nearly as nice as it does in the video above. Even the feel of the racing is a little twitchy. I like the customization features and the ability to tailor your cart to your style of play with all the upgrades, the concept is really cool, and some of the pick-ups are neat, but overall it was not what I was hoping for. I'm a huge fan of Sonic Racing Transformed and was hoping it at least ad the fell of that game (which I liked more than Mario Kart 8 to be honest).

I know it's just a beta test, but you would think they would want to give you a decent presentation at least.

Ooohh thanks for reminding me, I have it preordered on Steam and Switch 2, time to test them out!

Edit: Wow was not expecting this. Cancelling both preorders. I wouldn't even buy it for $20 for the premium edition. Looks like the same as Kirby Air Riders and I'd rather play that. Like I don't even want to play the playtest, that's how much it didn't do it for me. Tried both the PC and Switch 2.

I was just shocked at the poor presentation. Even a max resolution and detail on PC it looked bad. I don't know how they botched up the feel of the carts as Transformed had a great feel no matter the transformation you had. I'll wait until it comes out. I may give it a few more tries this weekend, but not impressed so far.

Tried again and no, this is the most unfun racing game I've ever tried and I can't stand playing it. I don't know why I recoil from it.

From Deb's response from the demo here, I thought the game would be a total flop when it came out, but it's gotten extremely positive reviews. IGN loved it.


It currently has an 83 on Metacritc which is very close to the 86 that Mario Kart World got.

So, has anyone bought and played it on PC? I did not care for the BETA test version, and the new DEMO version graphically is still a letdown. So, on PC, is the top graphical setting still top out at "High"? Even with the render resolution at 150% it still looks not so great.

So is this like running Mario Kart at 50 CCs? Where it's just.. you're racing but a toddler on a three wheeler will probably be passing you at any second?
