Mostly Disney Speedstorm, and a new season part is coming on Thursday and those are always busy.
Been on a picross kick so a ton of that.
I'm buying Pirate Yakuza day 1 and Monster Hunter Wilds, and playing Avowed on Gamepass.

I might play Avowed and the new Like a Dragon at some point, but for now, I知 still focusing on my backlog.
I知 around the halfway point in Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League, and I imagine I値l have that knocked out in the next few days or so. After that, I知 not immediately sure. Maybe the Beyond Good and Evil anniversary edition?

Pikmin 4! Finally went through all the Pikmin and working on 4. Rescued Olimar and on the last area I believe.
There's just something about these Pikmin games. They're just so much fun. Perfect blend of gameplay between action and strategy. Just enough story to keep it entertaining and engaging with the world without dragging it out. The graphics in 4 have really blown me away. Maybe that's partially due to coming from playing games in the series that are almost 25 years old now (!) But with the combination of the graphics and the music I think Pikmin 4 has the best title screen of any game.

This weekend I played the new "Viva Las Elvis" course on Walkabout Mini Golf. Some fun casino-themed holes.

Re: What are you playing? (February 2025)
It's hard to know how much nostalgia might be coloring my perception. Beyond Good and Evil was a stunner in 2003, and it didn't really look or feel like much of anything else on the market at the time, with an emphasis on photography, stealth, and puzzle solving that pushed combat further down the list than usual. It's definitely showing its age in a lot of respects, and I can imagine it feeling clunky or offputting to someone coming in for the first time. My most recent playthrough was the better part of a decade ago, and I had a good time then, and the little bit I played last night held up pretty well (although I don't remember the prompts to pick things up being so tiny).

BLOPS6 multiplayer - still working my way through each weapon. There痴 a few calling cards or whatever that I知 just never going to achieve. The game is a good time killer. Still haven稚 even touched zombie mode.
Shady Part of Me - cute puzzle game where you have to control two characters through various light/shadow settings. It痴 actually better than I expected, but still quite simple. Some great music in some parts, though. Not a fan of the child痴 voice but it could be worse.
Nioh - jumped back into this from the start (again). Way back when I played on PS4, I felt like I got to a point where it was impossible to progress, but I haven稚 reached that point again, yet. This time I知 playing on PC.

I know better than to compete with teenagers
Just spent 30 bucks on 30 puzzle packs for a generic Steam picross game. Each puzzle pack has 20 puzzles so 600 puzzles total. Just did 2 to see how long they'd take and it took me 48 minutes for those two puzzles (out of 600). Yep will get my money's worth
It's challenging which it's difficult for me to find challenging picross games.

Cultic - Not too keen on the retro-graphics, but the gameplay has been pretty fun. I think I'm on the final boss fight, now.

Re: What are you playing? (February 2025)
I finished my playthrough of Persona 5 Strikers: my fourth Persona 5 game in less than a year!
I was going to go straight from this into Veilguard, but I think I might fire up something shorter instead.

I typically get Call of Duty games for my birthday or Christmas, and it was such a popular option this year that I was gifted Black Ops 6 by 3 different people! I dragged my feet on playing this one due to a botched PS5 Pro implementation, but supposedly it痴 better or at least less bad now, so I知 just gonna go for it.
And per usual, this is the most annoying process of any franchise/game/whatever in existence.
I知 still baffled that I installed a 100+ gig game and it somehow doesn稚 include the campaign, which is a separate 38 gig download or something.
