I've really gotten into Nightingale, an early access Victorian survival building game.

I really have to go back and finish off the last 20% of Like a Dragon IW.

I haven’t actually started it yet — and might not for a while, since I only just got to chapter 2 in FF7: Rebirth — but Forspoken just showed up in the mail. What a Square Enix-y year.

Re: What are you playing? (July 2024)

In my very first favorite games of the year list back in 2015 I had a game there called Lifeless Planet which was an indie game where you played as an astronaut on a barren planet trying not to lose their mind with exploration being the main focus. So out of nowhere on the PSN store last week I saw a game listing for Lifeless Moon and I thought that name sounds familiar so I googled it and sure enough it was a sequel to Lifeless Planet. It came out on PC last year but just now hit consoles and I quite enjoyed it. Similar small scale as the original game only taking me 4-5 hours to play through and was an easy platinum. If you enjoy exploration games with some minor puzzles give it a shot and it doesn't require you to have played the first game since it's more just similar vibes to the first game then any story continuation.

Finally started playing Ghost Of Tsushima and enjoying it so far. I’m having a difficult time keeping my rage in check as I adjust to the style of play. I’ve never been a wait your turn to attack kinda guy and obviously that’s what’s required here.
One thing that was overhyped a tad was how beautiful the game was supposed to look. Don’t get me wrong, it looks great, but I think Red Dead 2 actually looks better.

Just got back from 3 weeks out of the country. I still have to finish up AW2 and my second run of Starfield, but I started Dungeons of Hinterberg today, and it’s pretty neat, if a bit simplistic. I’ll stick with it for a bit at least.

My briefly near-empty backlog now has Persona 5 Tactica and the deluxe edition of Baldur's Gate 3 (both PS5) in it along with Forspoken. Curse you, Prime Day! Curse your unexpectedly swift shipping, Larian! (I thought I'd be at the back of a very long line and would get the BG3 DE in, like, December.)

At the rate I'm going, finishing Rebirth before Astro Boy launches in September feels like a pipe dream, and with all the good stuff coming out in September and Q4, that backlog is going to grow more and more unwieldy. I feel a little more okay about it now than I did earlier this year, for whatever reason.

 Love this game  This was my first no combat, being chased type of game. But the story and setting are cool. Want a sequel!

Decided to revisit Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves Collection (PS5). With the dynamic range set to Maximum, it's a great home theater workout that rivals (and even bests) most movies. :rock2:

This thread makes me think I should cycle through more Gamepass games instead of my usual giant open-world stuff.
