In this new story trailer, players will get their first glimpse of the some of the game’s talented core cast. Khary Payton plays Azzuri, T’Challa’s grandfather and the WWII-era Black Panther, while Drew Moerlein plays Steve Rogers, aka Captain America. Megalyn Echikunwoke plays Nanali, a Wakandan spy embedded in Occupied Paris, and Marque Richardson plays Gabriel Jones, a U.S. soldier and member of the Howling Commandos. Lyne Renée plays Julie, a key ally in the French Resistance, and Joel Johnstone rounds out our cast as Howard Stark.

Amy Hennig is the co-president of Skydance New Media (the developer of the game), along with being the creative director and lead writer of Marvel 1943. The game was in the works for several years before Plaion was brought on as publisher. (Plaion wasn't even attached when the game was first revealed last year.) I would have to think whatever we ultimately see strongly reflects her intended vision.
As Marvel 1943 is a linear, single-player game that Hennig has likened to Uncharted, I'm not sure how live service-y or microtransaction-y it can be. Skins, maybe? But it's not multiplayer, it's not open world, yadda yadda.
