Dave The Diver (On PC now; on Switch 10/26/23)
I have been playing the early access version and I love it. Full release is coming out next week. There will also be a Switch release this year.

That looks like fun. Hope it comes to the Switch soonish. I don't play games on our computer.

I was intrigued until I saw it had boss battles like Zelda, too bad, I would have enjoyed the other aspects.

Nah I was looking at the squid and it's like step 1 and step 2 and step 3 and if you mess up step 3 you have to do 1 and 2 again, etc.

It's really just swim up hit it in the eye. It'll knock you back. Swim back up and hit it in the eye. Do it three times. There's no game over. You get to restart until you beat them. I'm sure they'll have some god mode mods out soon.

The boss battles are incredibly easy and are not the point of the game (unlike something like Cuphead). The reason for this is that your oxygen meter is still running, which is essentially a timer and health meter in one, so they can’t make it too complex.
The bosses can therefore be killed within a few minutes. What makes other boss fights hard is what makes these simple; there’s no wasting time on running away to stay safe or waiting a long time for a weak spot. They also give you extras of everything you need. It couldn’t be any more hand holding.

1 million copies sold in 10 days. https://www.ign.com/articles/steam-h...ies-in-10-days
I have been playing this whenever I have time. It's my favorite game in quite some time.

I played about 15 hours total on Monday and Tuesday while I was off work. It's great and they throw a lot of different game mechanics at you. If anyone needs any help with the game, feel free to post in this thread and I'll do my best to help you. There's not a lot of tips and tricks videos on YouTube right now.

Can I sell the random glass that I get? Or other things that don’t have a purpose in crafting, or do they have some unknown use later? For example I’ve been selling the silver cups since they seem designed for selling only.
For the selling, I was in Resident Evil 4 mode saving everything to optimize things, but I realize that’s not necessary here.
Also, how do I specify what live fish goes to the farm vs what goes to the restaurant?

PC Gamer gave Dave the Diver a 91/100 https://www.pcgamer.com/dave-the-diver-review/
Here's another article from PC Gamer: Dave the Diver is exactly the kind of out-of-nowhere hit that makes gaming exciting https://www.pcgamer.com/dave-the-div..._medium=social
I really hope they get the Switch version out soon so more people can play it.

I beat the main story tonight. I'm going to take a break for a few days and go back to try to catch all the fish.

Yeah it’s a lot of money. I got every single staff member to level 14 and above, and also put the “wrong” person at level 20, so there was a lot of sunk money and course correcting today.
I wrapped up some end game achievements today and have them all now except for the virtual pet one.
Enjoyed it a lot even after the campaign, and I’m still interested in playing more later. Hopefully there’s more content on the horizon, especially since the fish farm has two covered zones, which seems like a nice hint.
