Cool, if true. And it kind of makes sense.

Is this easy for a beginner to get into? I’ve played them in the way past, but not since. I think all those moves and button presses seems so daunting to remember. But, I saw a review and it quite intrigued me. Is this like a typical button masher game?

Gamepass has the previous one, MK 11 basic edition, for free, try it out.

New one plays a little different. But close enough.
The game has a nice brief tutorial .

I had a $100 Amazon gc so I got the digital deluxe version for XBSX. I said fuck it. I didn’t have any fighting games and I used to love this as a kid. Certainly looks gorgeous. I’m sure I’ll get my moneys worth before I inevitably pack it in.

Considering this is the 30th anniversary I'm shocked there hasn't been an Anthology collection Port of MK1-3 and Ultimate MK3

So uh, this doesn't look that good to me. Aside from Havik (he's disgusting, I love it) I'm not interested in a lot of the other fighters - even the first dlc characters don't excite me.
It just doesn't look that much different and I've NEVER liked any fonthe story modes.
Sad but I may pass on this one.

I caved. I am enjoying the heck out of it, it is fantastic. I bought MK11 for like seven bucks so that one is next but I wanted to play the pretty new one first.
I read on a forum how to cheese the test your might after failing many many times.
I'm about 40% done with the game. Having the time of my life with it. This is my first MK game (other than 45 mins of tutorial in MK 11).
This is also like one of the best martial arts movies I've ever seen, I got an itch now to go watch a bunch of them.
Such a good story too. I am definitely doing a second playthrough right after the first one. I've never played another one but I get a sense of the series and I think fans will find this a worthy entry.

Definitely will wait for this to drop in price or on Gamepass. I remember buying 11 when it was $30 for the Ultimate Edition.
