She sounds like a real scoundrel, that one.

And yet I loved my Astarion playthrough. He's the bad boy women want to fix.

Sounds like the PC version is phenomenal if you have the hardware for it. I’ll hold off until it’s discounted, but that’s the way I’ll go.

Good enough for me at the lowest settings.

Honestly the more I play it the more I like it. But it can be frustrating at times. I think it’s worth a month with Ubi+

So you might say she’s a deviant? A scoundrel?

An outlaw?

I decided with Astro Bot just 6 days away, I'll hold off for now. Maybe when Assassin Creed : Shadows is close to dropping and I have two games to try out. But even then I prefer to play on the PS5 and I don't want my progress to go to waste.
I wish PS5 participated in this program.

BTW : My previously ordered Ultimate Edition finally arrived today from Target. Very late, considering it was supposed to include a 3 day early start. It came with an exclusive Steelbook which I can safely say was one of the ugliest and least essential bonuses I've ever seen at such a high premium priced game. Easy pass and returned already back to Target in-store.

They can still make her endearing. I love Astarion and on paper he's much worse.

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

The more I play this game the more I like it. I finish about 1 out of every 10 games I start (thank you Gamepass!), and this is definitely making the list. I'm about 25% into it. You can roam around and do all side missions after finishing the story so I'm gonna finish the story and then do side missions until my month runs out. I can't wait to own it though and not have that timer running. I will definitely get this at 75% off.

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

"False Flag" is by far the hardest mission the game so far. I wouldn't blame others for rage quitting and never coming back. Took me a little over an hour to complete.

It had some cool moments but the stealth is so inconsistent

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

Just finished False Flag, 25% done with game. And one week into my month. Need 5 missions per week for next three weeks to finish game. But I had some crashes (PC's fault, it overheats) and I had to redo a bunch of the game I had already done multiple times so it should go faster now that I can save. Also went ahead and found the saves folder and backed up saves and do so periodically.

I am enjoying the hell out of this game. It is really fun. The sneaking stuff is the only thing that is infuriating, especially on the insta-fail parts.

Ok, I changed my mind, this is GOTY material. Is it perfect? No. But it's the most fun I've had in a while. I find I play it better in short spurts many times a day because sometimes I have to quit and come back to it later and then I'm good.

This is a fun game but it's nowhere near GOTY material. But I mean you probably think Speedstorm is GOTY, so....

Maybe it's your GOTY?

Speedstorm is GOTL (lifetime)

It is definitely top 5 of the year for me.

I thought it was easy. Even if you were caught, as long as nobody sets off the alarm you don't fail. I failed quite a few times but nothing that made me want to rage quit.

What are the other 3 (assuming Speedstorm is one)? I was gonna guess BG3 but that came out last year. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth maybe?

Yep, ladiw is on the list. And I really really liked alone in the dark. And I have a feeling until dawn is going to be there. I've been salivating and having fomo over that game for over a year. I also liked Palworld and Nightingale. Nightingale is having a major reset and you will have to do a new save file so I'm waiting for that in the next couple of months to keep playing.

My favorite permagames are still speedstorm and dreamlight valley.

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

I played the old school Alone in the Dark back in the day. Maybe early 90's.

As for my top 5:

1. Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth
2. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
3. Dragons Dogma 2

I don't really know if anything else is worth this year. At least through September. I am looking forward to AC Shadows, and MS Flight Sim 2024 though.

Anyway back to Outlaws.

I love this game so much. It's hard at times but not impossible. I actually almost got motion sickness
Spoiler:
piloting the ship because it was moving so much because I can't drive it straight. I AM getting better at maneuvering the speedster.

The sounds, the sights, they nailed the Star Wars feel. And it's now that I realize that if you're an average Joe, living in a Star Wars planet is boring

Edit:
Spoiler:
Not me shooting the stupid ceiling generator for legit ten minutes until I changed it to the blast setting.

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

So far I think this game is fantastic. I really had no intention of buying the game for a while, at least until its first decent sale. But a three day weekend and relatively positive word of mouth changed that time table.

I don't think this game showed particularly well in previews. In person, it looks quite nice. And I think it plays well, too. Gunplay feels fine, and the speeder controls much better than I thought it would, based on early footage.

The stealth can be frustrating, for sure. The Flase Flag quest mentioned earlier was challenging. I still enjoyed replaying those sections I failed, but I wish the checkpoints were closer together or there was a quick save system.

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

I think I'm going to end up buying this. I want to keep playing now. With the 20% with Ubi+ it comes out to $8 off the highest tier even after the $18 I spent for the first month.

I have to wait 30 days from release and I don't think the 3 day early access counts shoot. Still going to try right before I cancel see if it works.
