It seems lately...last few years...that applies to almost every game sadly. The Games have seemed to get, more ambitious that has a lot of hands in the mix that ends up with either bugs, glitches and features in the game that players get flustered and annoyed with. I don't PO anymore unless I feel near 100% certain and confidence in the Game and Dev......and this being a new entity, yea, it stands a good chance with issues off the bat but I hope this one does better than some past Ubisoft Titles like Skull & Bones that had lots of promise but sank quickly....

I see what you did there.

One of the previews I watched said there's stealth missions with instant fail and you have to restart the mission. I hope there's a good amount of checkpoints so we don't have to replay long sections...

i hated the Mary Jane sections of stealth in Spider-Man too. some Peter missions as well. but, it was sweet figuring it out.

a lot of positive things from many reviews, some mediocre stuff, many say repetitive and been done before, but still beautiful and Star Wars like.
Getting ok reviews, 76% right now.

Prime candidate for Black Friday discount sale. I can wait.

I just joined Ubi soft plus. I figure I can handle this for a month. If it’s not fun I’ll cancel. If it is I’ll buy it later when it Ubi-softs.

I want to play this but have enough other games to keep me busy for a long time. I’ll wait for a sale and get to it eventually.

I bought it. Haven't played a game in a year and got plenty of time this weekend. I will trade it in and basically make it a $20ish rental.

Glad to see it getting positive reviews.

I'm off Friday and Monday and plan on tackling this at some point.

I was starting to get hyped, but after watching some reviews this morning I think I’m out on this one, at least until it is cheap as it doesn’t sound very good.

did you only see the negative reviews? why not check out the remainder of the reviews that are mostly positive?

Maxflier 08-26-24 04:41 PM

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

Because the positive reviews aren't going to change the stuff I saw and didn't care for. And one was from someone whose opinion I trust and he was sent a copy to review by Ubisoft and still gave it a negative review without holding back, so that tells me a LOT.

I'm having a blast!. Just finished the tutorial world and landed on the first planet. It really doesn't waste much time getting straight to gameplay. Shooting took a bit but was loving exploring.

Graphics are great. Music and sound are top notch. It really has the look and feel of playing a Star Wars movie:)

Not a fan of the lickpicking and hacking mini game. Hoping it"s kept to a minimum.

Sounds great. The ign video review really shows the good and bad. They gave it a 7 which is good in their world…

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

I never could understand Sabacc. Tried playing the physical version awhile back and was too confusing. The one in this game tries to explain it but it's still way over my head. The card symbols are what throws me off.

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

I played for 20 mins earlier. It’s good not great but I mean I just started. Combat seems boring. Maybe I’m used to being a Jedi ;)

But the stealth sequences so far are generic. It’s go behind and hit a guy. The game looks great and the little sidekick picking things up for you is cool.

I'm sure it’ll get better.

I like using the stun setting on the blaster but the cool down is too long. I'm hoping you can upgrade it later.

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

I'm torn. Having bought Wukong and returned because of PC performance issues (widely reported even with top gaming rigs), I see the value in waiting for a few updates and a cheaper price (great game, can't wait to keep playing, and gorgeous).

I know this will be 75% off within a year. I have games to play in the meantime that I already own. Just on Disney Speedstorm and Disney Dreamlight Valley I have a year of gameplay. I hate being an adult, I want to play this but I will probably wait until the 75% off.

I'm expecting this to be solid B tier. It won't be the GOTY, but it will be a good romp.

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws (2024)

It's one thing to have instant fail stealth missions. But to have the loot you find in those sections not be saved is absolute bullshit!

I've failed a stealth section three times and every time I have to go back to the same spots to pick up the same loot every freaking time
