i know this is PS5 exclusive, but that didn't look like anything special. very boring teaser.

Re: SILENT HILL 2: Remake

Why not remake the first one first?
PS5 exclusivity is just for 1 year I heard.
Graphics look great.

Re: SILENT HILL 2: Remake

I really liked the first two Silent Hill games back in the day. Maybe the trailer wasn't spectacular, but remembering the earlier games definitely has me excited about the remake.

Re: SILENT HILL 2: Remake

Sucks it's a PS5 exclusive - this was the only Silent Hill I really enjoyed - I mean, I loved the first one, but it was just too hard for me, and I never completed it back in the day.

It's a timed exclusive for 12 months. I'll wait it out.

Looks good, but I still need to play the Silent Hill 1 remake first.

New story trailer. It's been forever since I played SH2 but I remember really enjoying it. I'll check this out.

Re: SILENT HILL 2: Remake

That looked real good to me. Seemed very RE4ish. What type of game is this, true survival horror where you have to craft weapons and usually no gun?

Re: SILENT HILL 2: Remake

If I remember correctly, there isn't any crafting. Main weapons were things like pipes, but I'm pretty sure you do get a gun at some point. Very minimal ammo though.

Re: SILENT HILL 2: Remake

The early SH games were basically the same as the original RE games, just with a different setting. Light on combat with an emphasis on running. More about exploration and puzzle solving in a spooky environment.

Re: SILENT HILL 2: Remake

Got a bit excited until I noticed this was the game forum. My dad says that the original Silent Hill was the scariest movie he ever saw...

Re: SILENT HILL 2: Remake

This is getting fantastic reviews. At an 88 on OpenCritic with multiple 10 out of 10's and 5 out of 5's. Can't wait to play this.

Re: SILENT HILL 2: Remake

Yeah, it's funny how this remake was being trashed for so long while the Until Dawn remake was highly anticipated. Now reviews for both are coming out and Silent Hill 2 is being praised while Until Dawn is being trashed.

Added to wishlist, looks fantastic! I've never played a Silent Hill game before although I'm pretty sure I saw the movie.

Re: SILENT HILL 2: Remake

Put about 4 hours in. I never played any Silent Hill but have watched the first movie. So far really creepy tense moments. Great graphics and combat is satisfying.

Re: SILENT HILL 2: Remake

I'm about 6 hours in and fantastic so far although I'm not remembering any of this so maybe I never played the original SH2. I know I played 1 multiple times and I remember beating Homecoming and Downpour on the 360.

Re: SILENT HILL 2: Remake

Wrapped this up today. Final playtime was 18 hours which was quite a bit more than I was expecting but very enjoyable the whole way through. Really hope this sells well enough that like the RE games we start getting remakes of the other titles.
