The clock had just barely ticked over to midnight on July 1st when I finished Resident Evil 2, so that’s technically a July game for me, I guess!

After deciding to hold off on Persona 5 Royal until the current-gen versions drop in October, the only thing in my backlog is Assassins Creed: Valhalla. So, that’s finally happening.

I ordered a physical copy of Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series from Play Asia for the PS5, and I’m starting Shredder’s Revenge next week with my wife.

You should play the “Re-MARStered” version.

Finally got around to playing Uncharted 4 last month. Finished the other day, so I decided to go for something shorter. Starting July with another "best of 2021" game (and a bit shorter than Uncharted 4), The Artful Escape.

Played an hour so far. Not bad. Not GOTY mind blowing like I was expecting, but something unique which I do like.

Good game, Had fun with it. Being remastered really helped it I believe, compared if I would had played the OG one. One day I will. I'm grateful it had customized controls and the auto aiming is fantastic. :D. Made the game enjoyable.

Taking a break from HFW (PS5) and giving Paper Mario: Origami King (Switch) a shot. Loving it so far. The game mechanic is quite different and difficult. I get turned around a bit.

My sons and I are also playing Ultimate Chicken Horse (Switch)… what a bizarre game, but a ton of fun.

At first 5-10 minutes of playing, I was not liking it. No auto aim, no weapon zoom other than sniper, no save slots + no reloading and the endless waves of enemies.
But the game is very good. Controls well, there was plenty of ammo & health given, also noticed there was mid section level selects, so didn't have to go back far if I failed. And loved how the cast of characters from my team were introduced during the story. BLOWING SHIT UP!!!

Currently on sale for $2.24 Xbox https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/sto...i/C12N0W3G401J

I'm currently playing through Dragon Quest Builders for a 2nd time. I'm building out a high rise castle in Cantlin. The game is fun. What I'm doing in it a total waste of time. I love it. My last run was on the PS4. I'm playing on the Switch this time.

Detroit Become Human. The game must be just my speed because I haven’t had to look up any hints yet. Really digging the story.

You shouldn't need any hints, it's a pretty straight forward game. I loved it.

I picked up Cars 3: Driven to Win on sale. My kid really love Cars, and I thought he'd get a kick out of it even it was a terrible game because he loves Lightning McQueen that much. But, it's better than I thought it would be.

Yeah, the goal isn’t to puzzle you but to take you through the story. I finished it last weekend and am tempted to replay some chapters with different just to see the results.

One of my nephews has had Cars 3 in heavy rotation for at least two years now. As much as he loves racing games in general, that’s the one he goes back to the most.

Re: What Are You Playing? (July 2022)

I was done with Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla a lot sooner than expected and didn’t have anything else queued up, so I looked through my PS+ library and went for Call of Duty: Black Ops III. It’s one of the only CoD campaigns from last gen that I never got around to.

And one of the others, Modern Warfare (‘19) is in the mail. I was waiting for a native current-gen version, but since that doesn’t seem to be happening…. Also have a physical PS5 import of Klonoa en route. A little something to tide me over till Saints Row (and maybe Soul Hackers 2?) a month from now.
