Sniper Elite 5 - Rebellion (PS5/4, XB1, PC)

Anyone playing this? I've loved the series and am enjoying this one so far, though I have to say it's almost exactly the same as 4. Not saying that's a bad thing, just no real improvements or updates. Of particular annoyance is the inability to hop over even a small fence or hedge, just dumb. The only other thing I'll say that is also dumb is that when you shoot someone with a pistol, they seems rather annoyed and it takes 3-4 shots (unless it's a perfect head shot, and aiming can be tricky). Other than that, it's more of the same sneaking and fun and ultra-graphic kill shots. The missions are long and entertaining and I'm on mission 3.

This is on Game Pass, right? If so, I'm definitely going to give it a shot.

So I'm giving this a shot and it's fine. I'm glad it's on Game Pass. I'm playing on "Easy" to mostly just enjoy the experience but the controls are a bit wonky and frustrating. Overall I'd give it a C+ as I keep dying due to guys showing up from out of nowhere and having impeccable aim.

Yeah, that can be annoying. There's a perk you can get that at least highlights guys you don't see that shoot at you. To me even more annoying is you have to unload with so many (non-sniper) bullets to get a guy to go down. Just makes no sense. 3, 4, 5 bullets to the chest cavity of an unsuspecting bad guy and the dude just flinches back and forth like there are mosquitos or horseflies. For a game that has the ultra-detailed graphic killshot cam for a good sniper rifle shot, that weird aspect just seems ridiculous. That said, I am still enjoying it overall; starting Mission 4.

I usually play on easy but started on medium. It’s a little more challenging but essentially the same game. Glad it’s on gamepass as well

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be the sniper or the nazis... but damn can they spot you from a mile away and hit you almost at will. I finally got thru the first level after completing all the primary and secondary objectives. The game is fun in spurts, for certain.
