What Are You Playing? (December 2021)
 

I just started the campaign in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

After that, maybe Deathloop? I’m tempted to wait a bit to play Halo: Infinite to let it get patched some before diving into its campaign.

My hope is for this to be kind of a movie-centric month, so I’m sticking with shorter games.

I just saw that Stardew Valley is coming to Game Pass, so that is absolutely something I intend on giving a shot.

Started Wednesday, finished yesterday, now trying to get other achievements. But the fail and U can't reload a check-point pisses me off. I don't like replaying a chapter over and over doing the same stuff then failing. Otherwise I like it. I wish the other 2 games were on GP.

I’m trying to get the last two trophies in Ratchet and Clank 2016 and it’s making my hands sore. It’s the Rygar Gold Race and the Kerwan Fitness Test run. So annoying!

I'm so glad that on the PS5 game, they decided to do away with the timed race trophies. The Rygar race was the most difficult for me because you need to be almost flawless and time your boost correctly. Also putting the speed to slow and using invincibility helps tremendously.

I started...errr, three games yesterday.

First up is Deathloop, and I'm still technically in the tutorial there. And when we were spitballing games we could play together, my wife and I started goofing around with two Game Pass games: PAW Patrol Mighty Pups: Save Adventure Bay (inspired by our Paw Patrol-obsessed nephews) and Moving Out.

Did a speed-run to get 3 achievements: completing game under 4 hours (finished at around 2h 35M), used no herbs or health sprays (used only one Steroids, which didn't count against) and only opened item box 3 times (2 were mandatory opens)

I’m now playing Lego DC Super Villains PS4 game on my PS5. I’m done with the main story including the bonus Justice League missions. Now, is all about working towards the 100% and the trophies.

I also went back to Assassins Creed Odyssey on my PS4. A 23 GB update was waiting for me.

I’m off for the next two weeks so hoping to finish some games. It’s been overdue.

I started Inscryption but... I'm not sure I'm into it. I absolutely loved Pony Island, so I'm trying to give this a fair shake... but I'm hoping/waiting to see where this one goes. It doesn't help that I absolutely suck at the card game.

I ended up pushing back playing GOTG and instead played through two shorter Game Pass games (The Forgotten City which was very interesting) and Lake (which I love).

I finished up Lake. I really liked it, jank and all.
Only downside to anyone going for all the achievements is that you have to replay the last 10-15 minutes of the game to get each of the three main endings since the last possible save point is before you go back to the post office on the last Saturday. Can't skip the dialog you've already heard, etc.
But not a big deal.
Some of the other achievements are missable if you don't wander around a bit. I didn't find the metal detector guy until my second last day, in front of the Motel.

For anyone who likes quirky Game Pass games, this one is worth playing.

Started Death's Door today. I'm only about an hour in, but yeah, this game deserves the praise it gets. I struggle a little bit with these kinds of maps, but overall, I'm very into this one.
