I was watching the trailer and was like, "SWEET." Then got to the "2023" at the end and was like, "OH COME ON!"

I like Spider-Man.

I’m glad to see both Peter and Miles. I wonder if it’ll be an Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate situation where you can choose who you want to play as to a point, but story missions generally require a specific character. After Miles Morales, it’ll be tough to really want to play primarily as Peter again. But if I am obligated to play as both, I don’t want Peter’s XP/skill tree to fall too far behind.

You're right. I went back to the Spider-Man DLC after completing Miles Morales and I just couldn't do it. I was missing too many options and abilities that I had become used to.

Did anyone else think it was going to be Kraven as the big bad during the voice over? The Russian accent led me to believe it was, then bam! VENOM.

The voiceover absolutely was Kraven. and yeah, it had me assuming he was the big bad, but the Venom reveal was awesome.

Wish I could find a PS5... maybe by 2023

He could still be the big bad. He asks "Will one of you give me what I desire" and Venom replies "Yes WE will".

Yeah it sounded to me like that voice was supposed to be a villain separate from Venom. I would assume there will be a bunch of villains in this.

That's what threw me about Spider-Man: Miles Morales. I didn't know that it was a much shorter game than Spider-Man was and when there were no more villains than just the 2.5 pseudo villains, I was a bit disappointed after the menagerie of villain in the first game. I think that the SP2 game will be more like the first (but with less pigeons).

It won't be, barring a delay. They're likely to go with a release window very close to that of God of War Ragnarok (11/9). They have put out numerous big first-party releases around that week and most have done really well. Death Stranding was 11/8/19, Uncharted 3 was 11/1/11, Miles Morales was 11/12/20.
Or early September, where Spider-Man came out.

Awesome news. So Spiderman 2 and Pikmin 4, two games I can't wait to play...2023 is already better than the single game I bought this year.

This is my most anticipated game by far.

This will probably be what gets me to pick up a PS5.

This News is a bit of a shocker as a lot of people really thought, were under the impression and basically the trailers even had a slight hint...Co-op was going to be in Spiderman 2....well, it's not....

Yeah, me neither. It could have been a cool co-op game, but the first one worked fantastic as a single-player game - so more of that would be fine by me.
