I love the Forza Horizon games, but that controller is hideous to me. If someone showed it to me and asked what game it was for, I don't even know how many guesses I would use before saying "Forza".

I have zero interest in Forza but I already pre-ordered the controller because I love how it looks.

My Limited Edition Forza 6 controller is my favorite one I own (and that includes the Elite model). It's just the most comfortable and best feeling one.
I preordered this to make sure I have a chance to at least try it out despite my being mezzo-mezzo on its looks. It seems that it also has tactile features exclusive to it.

Controller lists for $74.99 but is $69 at Walmart and at Amazon right now.

I'm not bluetoast, but I downloaded the main game via Game Pass then bought the Forza Horizon 5 Premium Add-Ons Bundle for $45. That gives you everything included in the full Premium option that costs $100.

So basically the same price since Game Pass is $59.99. I need to think what the best way is. FH 5 is all I’m interested in, but I want all the extra stuff that comes with it.

Exactly the same for me. With a long running GamePass subscription, then there's no need to buy the game itself, since it won't be leaving GamePass anytime soon. At $45, the Add-On bundle will be more than worth it, since it includes 2 upcoming DLCs and the car pass or whatever it's called. Then, years later if still interested, the game will be available at a reduced price in the event it leaves GamePass.

If you don't have GamePass and want to own the game outright with all the extra stuff (and future DLC) then the Premium Edition for $99.99 is your route:

Moved to New Zealand and loaded up the game this morning. Played through the first 20 min. It's fantastic so far. Appears to have a more structured campaign than the last few, which is a great sign.

It is, actually! OpenCritic has it at #1, and, with a Top Critic Average score of 92, it's the only game of 2021 (reviewed so far, anyway) with a score above 90.

I'm still not sold on open world racing games but I'll be picking this up on PC for sure. Last I played was Horizon.

Having a lot of fun with this. It feels a bit more structured than FH4, which I felt was kind of aimless at times. That said, I'm already at a point where there's a LOT to do. The thing I dislike the most is the online stuff that's just all on by default after you reach a certain point. I'll get to the online stuff when I'm ready, but I really want to focus on the single player campaign without distractions.
Still, it looks and plays so smooth. I'm tempted to switch over to performance mode, but honestly the 30fps of quality mode is not bothering me at all.
