I’ve been itching to play a wrestling game even though I haven’t watched it in over a decade. The last game I think I played was a Smackdown vs Raw on the 360.
From what I understand, they’ve changed quite a bit (control and quality wise). Anyone have any recommendations on the last good one for ps4/ps5?
No multiplayer needed. I just liked creating a character, doing the story and wrestling as old school wrestlers.

The last one I enjoyed playing was 2K19. It had a nice mix of old and new wrestlers.

With the huge amounts of roster cuts in the WWE this year, I hope we don't get twenty different versions of the same wrestlers.

I imagine there’s a cut-off date for changes to the roster (adding or removing). There have been instances in the past where former talents were still in games.

Hopefully, they will release a date and price.

The WWE releases have cause tons of issues for 2K

WWE just needs to cut ties with 2K. Under 2K, the games have underachieved to put it mildly. I don't know who they would go with thought. With the deep pockets EA has, I wouldn't be shocked to see WWE turn to them. Sad thing, the games won't be any better if EA gets ahold of them.

We won't know the difference in gamplay until it comes out, so hopefully the difference is simplified control schemes. Still, no one asked for Machine Gun Kelly on the game.

I would love to have this edition, but with the $119 price tag and the disastrous 2K20, I am in wait and see mode.

2k is simply taking the NBA cards formula and pasting it on the WWE game. Just more micro transactions bullshit

That's dealbreaker for me. 2K and EA have ruined sports games due to micro transactions. I'm actually shocked it took 2K this long to add it to the game.

If the game is actually good, I'll probably still buy it. I won't bother with the Ultimate Team type bullshit mode.
