So... what game are you smashing into your next-gen console first?
Most likely, it'll be Miles Morales for me on the PS5. Not sure what I'll play on XSX first, but may dive into Ori 2 or FH4 again, just to see the improvements.

Xbox Series X - probably Forza Horizon 4 as a test spin. The first real game will almost certainly be Watch_Dogs: Legion, but that’ll probably be a little bit after launch, thanks to the siren song of Spidey.

PS5 - I ordered Miles Morales, but that’ll probably get here later in the day than the actual console, so Astro’s Playroom will be the first thing I fire up.

Only getting a PS5 and starting with Miles Morales. I'll also be playing AC Valhalla but on PC.

Xbox - probably Star Wars Squadrons, Forza Horizon 4 or some other number of games I already own.. probably check out the enhanced ones.

PS5 - if I am able to get one, will be games I already own.

I am waiting on buying any next gen games until I see the upcoming sales on them.

Just Miles Morales. I'll probably go digital since it's full price regardless, so hopefully it doesn't take a day and a half to download because their servers are slammed.

I'll definitely be hitting Astro's Playroom too.

After that? Cyberpunk if it ever sees the light of day and then Ratchet & Clank.

That's the normal price for that (standard) edition. The "Ultimate Edition" is the one that's $69.99.

Oh, what's the difference? I thought standard editions of next gen were going to be 69 and deluxe would be even higher.

Or is MM just being priced cheaper than a normal release?

MM isn't quite a full game worth of content. The UE version comes with a PS5 remaster of Marvel's Spider-Man GotY Edition.

Miles Morales is an unusual situation a la Uncharted: Lost Legacy. But in general, it seems like for Sony, cross-gen titles are $59.99 and next-gen-exclusives are $69.99.

AC: Valhalla on XSX for me.

After that, I’ll be getting Cyberpunk when it comes out. I may try to hold off popping it in until they roll out the next gen enhancements, as I’ll probably only play through it once.

I'm hoping that these consoles will be available a couple of weeks after launch but I'm hearing not until April or so.

I am not really sure. I just I will play my PS4 games or maybe snag a copy of Miles Morales. I just want the PS5 in my hands at home, then I will worry about games. :lol:

Thanks for posting! Atmos has definitely had an impact on which games I've played and when, so it's great to see that support continue (and am not astonished that Sony's not interested, given Cerny's presentation a while back).

I just got a new receiver (haven't hooked it up yet) but that's kinda disappointing on the Sony front for sure. I have an Xbox One S so not a huge deal in the scheme of things but it would be nice to just use one console as my media machine.

Well, first game for the Series X ended up being Tetris Connect. Played it while updating and transferring games to the internal SSD.
