Yeah it opens up quite a bit, has a lot of exploring and side missions and a pretty cool storyline. I had a similar issue the first time I tried the game, the beginning took me forever to get through.

The intro is sort of an expanded tutorial. You get flight combat for the first 5 minutes, hand-to-hand/side scrolling/shooting combat for the next 20 minutes, and then a shooter boss battle before it calms down into its action RPG mold - though some of the bosses take their cues from a mix of Souls and bullet hell shooters.

But if it's cramping up your hand, you may have a problem in spots. You can just hold the RB button down without pressing it a bunch, or play on Easy and turn auto-fire on.

Trying to get into FFVII but I don’t find the combat engaging at all, so I’m having a hard time sticking with it for more than an hour at a time.

But I am very much into Call of Duty Warzone, even though I typically hate the battle royale genre.

And Animal Crossing, too.

Yeah, you can change difficulties at any time.

I've been bouncing back and forth between Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy IX lately. I play these until they start becoming more tedious than fun, then I start over. If I can't have fun playing a game then what's the point? I've made it partway through the Northern Cave in FFVII and into Memoria in FFIX before losing interest and starting over. As far as these games are concerned I'm not anal about completing them, I'm just there to have fun.

Who knows, maybe with Cartel stuff and Tentacles DLC, I may get to my elusive lvl 50. Only 4 away. Fingers crossed. Doing the Cartel thing. Some of those new enemies are tough. There my 46 level, but something happened and while I have guns, these are not the guns I finished regular game with. I dunno what happened to those. These are barely recognizable and frankly suck. I mean they are high powered but I’ve died like 4 times already just getting to cartel boss. Some of those purple enemies take things I used to have good guns before, but now are hard as shit shit I got. Probably have to go back to Sanctuary and loot the gold chest. I have over 300 keys and still 82 more to redeem. Guess I have to find good again against these new foes. Haven’t seen Boss yet. Are there more than one you go around killing for Maurice?
