Yeah, Wario's legit. Also, his pinned tweet is gold.

I still haven’t played much in the way of Series X games on my Series X , but the Auto HDR function is still pretty neat. There’s no mistaking the difference playing Bayonetta now.

Oh yeah, I’ve been meaning to ask, who is that guy?

He also recently had a temporary pinned tweet of a Chris Hanson Cameo asking him where the PS5s are, and to “have a seat over there”

I don't know his backstory, but I'm pretty sure most of the links that he posts are affiliate referrals to himself.

Suda51. Designer of a ton of games, but most notably No More Heroes, Killer Is Dead, and others.

oh, definitely. Doesn't bother me. Guy probably made enough from his affiliate links to buy the newest consoles.

Well yeah. He spends pretty much every hour searching deals and posting them for his Twitter followers. There is no way anyone would be putting in that much work for nothing.

Wario64 (or his team or whatever) do an excellent job posting deals, and I've never seen him shy away from posting a deal just because there's no affiliate program with them. If he makes some money because I click through a link that I would have never seen without him, I'm fine with that.

I hope he posts a Series X one soon, because these constant notifications are annoying the crap out of me already... LOL!

I've been looking for a series X for my brother. I got it added to my cart from Costco but I was on the plant floor when the tweet came in and didn't have my credit card on hand. By the time I got back to my desk and finished checkout, it was gone.

I had to update my credit card as well, so I was a little surprised when the order went through.

My Costco order from yesterday shipped! Now I can stop stalking all these different sites waiting for them to pop up.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

It’s going to be a gift for my son for Christmas. Should I open it and hook up to internet for updates before Christmas? Will I have to login using his gamer tag or anything? Don’t want to do anything to spoil surprise, but also want it usable as quickly as possible.

Mine didn't take long to set up. Now if you want to transfer everything over that may take a while.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

I got one at Gamestop's surprise event yesterday. Got the notification from Wario64 at just after 4 PM (event started at 4PM) and I immediately went up there. They had Series X, Series S, and both PS5's, all being sold in bundles. It was an in-store event only, but they were actually ordering it for delivery from the in-store website. I was only 10 or 12 people back in line, but I was only the 2nd person waiting for an Xbox, everybody else was buying PS5's. I was there nearly 2 hours though, because the website kept crashing on them. Apparently the stores only found out about this event a half hour before it started, so it was all one big cluster. The inventory was allocated per store though, so I didn't have to worry about the rest of the country buying it up.

I got it though, and by some stroke of luck, when I got to the counter, they found that they actually had a console only available, so I didn't even have to buy the bundle.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

If this cluster-f of a console release has taught me anything it's that we need the smaller gamer-oriented companies to survive and that gamers continue to be solid folks willing to help each other out. I was able to snag two Series Xs from GameStop and Antonline earlier this month and it was all due to people here and elsewhere giving me the heads up as to where to get them. Amazon has been completely MIA on these and most of the other big players have been a pain to deal with as well. Hopefully by the time I want one for myself they'll be more readily available as these two are headed off to my kids. I miss the days when I could just buy one console for the whole household.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Series X arrived yesterday, PS5 has been here, both with GamePass/PS+ subscriptions good to at least Nov 2023. With the exception of a new Nintendo console, I hope I’m good on hardware purchases for the next 6 years at least.

I will be looking for a Series X after the holidays. Are they as hard to find as a PS5?

Yes. I've been looking since launch. I tried Wal-mart multiple times, and never got one (although I did have a co-worker get one successfully through the website). Best Buy seems to be determined to put them up when I'm at work, and I've been unwilling to buy a bundle at GameStop. At this point I will pick up either an Xbox Series X, or PS5 when I find one in store. I have the money set aside, and thinking I will grab the first one I see, despite console preferences.

Dang. I ended up with that bundle from GameStop and set to arrive 01/05 so I’m fine. I also have Watchdogs legion and Cyberpunk and with Flight sim coming I should be set
