FWIW, I bought a 2TB external HD and have been playing various PS4 titles off it without issue, which of course was a relief, but so far so good, and it's great to have all the extra space.

It goes in stock every once in a while but I always balk because it's like 100 bucks for a headset I can only use on one console right after I spent a boatload on new consoles and games.

I have never found it in stock since PS5 Preorder. It wasn't even available when I preordered my PS5 from Sony Direct. Gator Shea has one and likes it.
I don't really need it since I have a Platinum Wireless headset for the PS4 and it works just fine with the PS5 and has the 3D sound feature as well.
I have scoured the Internet trying to find a comparison review but haven't found one yet to see if one is better than the other. I like that the Platinum one folds. In any case mine was $150 so this seems like a bargain in comparison.

I have the Gold Headset for the PS4 and will see how that works with the PS5 since they are compatible. I find it even harder ordering the Pulse 3D than it was ordering the PS5.

The other minor thing I don't get is why they took away the ability to hold down the ps button to turn off the console.

Regarding the option to install PS4 games on an external; I know you can set the console to default that way so it happens every time you install a PS4 game. Is there a way to select internal or external storage when you're downloading? Or is it purely based on that selection in the console settings?

I just picked up the Arctis 7x headset and it seems to work very well. I was looking at the pulse but reviews say the mic is bad/muffled and of course it's very hard to find.
Arctis got very good reviews and has double the battery life. I also prefer volume to be a scroll wheel instead of up/down buttons.

Just set on that. But you can move a PS4 game from the external drive to the PS5 SSD after it has been downloaded.

Got it. Thanks. Some PS4 games I play often I want to have on internal for the better load times. I guess I'll have to deal with swapping that option when that's the case.

It's weird that it is only for the ps5 version of Maneater and not the ps4 version considering it was a free upgrade.

Trying to give people who bought a PS5 a bonus. Same as Bugsnax which is available for both systems.
Can you grab the PS5 freebies from the website if you don't yet have a PS5 or is it console limited like the PS Plus collection?

You can grab it from the website, but it seems to me that finding it and redeeming it from the website has been made unnecessarily more difficult than it used to be since they re-did the web store.

I love it. Great for gaming with my friends - my audio goes out clearly and theirs comes through clearly, not to mention the quality of the sound for gameplay or using Spotify or watching shows. The “3D” technology is not exclusive to these headsets and honestly I don’t really notice it aside from stereo sound, so that isn’t really a selling point.

Also, to the person who mentioned you can only use it on one console, that’s not the case. It utilizes a USB dongle, so you can connect it with other devices (people have used it on the PS4, and the Switch). It also comes with a 3.5 mm jack, so you can use it for any device that utilizes it, so long as it’s charged.

Later that same evening...

Put in a Blu-ray disc for the first time. Movie starts playing, 1 min. in screen goes black, frozen, then maybe 45 seconds later a message about my USB storage needing to be repaired, which of course I wasn’t even using (actively) at the time. Super bizarre. Worked ok today, but disappointing & not a good development.
